We don't need a fuel stop on the way home from Airventure, but we do need a FOOD stop. Pilot Pete's is certainly one of the best! The approach to 06C can be a little fun (you are about 5 miles from ORD) but if you study the sectional a little bit, you can do it! You will be rewarded with a beautiful facility full of 1930's - 1960's flying memorabilia, and excellent food! The prices are reasonable too!

Stopped in at Pilot Pete's yesterday (06/23/2009). Had the $100 hamburger. As in the other comments, it was a great burger. Aviation theme of the restaurant is great too. The waiter noticed me checking my watch and asked if I was under a time constraint. I was, so he made sure I was served quickly. I also didn't have to wait for the check. Great service!

Friendly, good service and great food. There are many items on the menu you won't find very easily or at all elsewhere. The aviation theme of the restaurant is great! Easy access, right on the ramp! Will be back again and again.

Probably the nicest GA airport I have flown to. Stopped here this past weekend from NJ with some folks from my flight school I rent from to pick up some planes the next morning. Food was very filling, and delicious! The town offers alot to do for its visitors as well. I will definitely bring my flyout gang here sometime in the future!

Great place, food and friendly people at a reasonable price. Sit near the windows overlooking airport if possible. If flying, don't have a drink in the bar! Think about bringing "a little something" to the FBO staff on your way out, especially if you don't buy gas!

My new favorite $100 burger spot. Very nice restaurant, good food and service, and very reasonable pricing ($6.50 for the 1/2lb "$100 Hamburger" with fries!) Will most definitely be back.

Stopped in for lunch with family and friends at Pilot Pete's. This is a terrific restaurant, let alone on an airport.

This place is great - fantastic ambience with a great view, and the $100 Hamburger on the menu (for something like $6.95)
