Two of us flew our Magni Gyros in to refuel. Rita and Jeff met us outside, helped us refuel and then directed us to the ice cream and snacks they have for pilots and crew. Nice, comfortable pilot lounge, kitchen, flight planning and bathrooms. Great place to stop!

I just talked with Rita(6-18-2024) and she said her JetA fuel price is $3.54!!! but the price has not been lowered on AirNav for this week. Cheapest fuel in the region. 5000' runway. Give her a call.

Stopped in to gas up after the great 2024 Eclipse. We saw it at Harrisburg-Raleigh IL (KHSB) but they wanted $5.76 a gal for 100LL so we dropped into Benton Co only an hour away to save over dollar a gallon. What an AWESOME experience! Landed at 1545L, which was 15 min before the posted closing time, and was promptly greeted by Rita the manager. Fuel is listed as "assisted" service, and she was more than ready to give us the "full service" experience. The fuel pit is actually set up for SS, but she's been having problems with the modem connection at the pump. Good thing she was there--overrode the pump, got 40 gal, and she ran the card inside. Real nice runway and set up--super hospitable with snacks and drinks. No AWOS yet--Rita is working on that, but they do have IAP in place for both ends of the runway. Highly recommended stop, especially for you Sun N'Funners. Might be a challenge at the pump after hours, but Rita lives pretty close and will answer the call out.

2 friends and I stopped in to refuel on our way to Florida and then again on the way home to Missouri. We planned these stops because we had such a great experience last year. No one was around on this trip but we had no problems using the SS fuel pumps or getting into the FBO to use the bathrooms and get a drink. They have a courtesy car and this is a great place to stop if you are in the area. The airport manager is great and we hope to see him next time.

My friend and I stopped here in our M16 gyroplanes on the way back from Florida. Jimmy Troutt was very helpful and pleasant, the airport very well maintained and the fuel available 24/7 with credit card. They have a very nice courtesy car and restaurants nearby. They have a Fly In/Airshow every other year and have some of the most beautiful and pristine warbirds I have ever seen residing here. This is a great place to stop on your travels.
