My home away from home, I'm based 4 miles away but we have no fuel at NC26, so I go here a lot. They are always prompt and courteous and the fuel price isn't bad (better with your AIRBOSS card!). Use the steam from the power plant as a wind indicator (more reliable than the wind socks).

Weather forced us to land at Lake Norman airport. A very beautiful community. Can't thank them enough for the help getting settled for the night. Had to wait out the fog in the morning, but it was a comfortable wait, thanks to the staff.

We had an excellent experience at Lake Norman Airport. We had to divert on our trip from Ocean Springs MS back to Carlisle PA as the weather was closing in very rapidly. What a nice airport to end up at. Andrew and Darlene in the FBO were great. Our timing couldn't have been worse for the folks at 14A but they took the time to see to every one of our needs. This was the stop on our trip that could have been the biggest downer but Darlene and Andrew made it one of the best stops along our way. Great work folks. We absolutely love your airport. Keystone Flight will always consider 14A on all our southern trips. Thanks again.

Flew into Lake Norman Feb 23rd as weather closed in (three ship formation out of Carlisle, PA, KEYSTONE FLIGHT) just before closing. Andrew and Darlene were outstanding hosts. They had just lost a friend and were helping with a funeral fly-by but took the time to get us bedded-down and taken care of despite other priorities. We politely waited until they had some time, and it was worth the wait. They helped us with fueling, tie-down, cab and a hotel for the night. They offered us the courtesy car, but it was down for MX. The next day they helped with local weather, and got us going on our way - what a class act at Norman Airpark! The runway, facilities, and services are TOP NOTCH here. Thanks again Andrew and Darlene - you really helped us. We are sorry for the loss of your friend Doodle. (They had a memorial for the elderly pilot - his plane with many flowers and a large banner commemorating him - very dignified) Keep up the great work at Lake Norman! MM
