Charlie's got a great write-up in the $100 Hamburger book, so I was planning on stopping for lunch and fuel on the way to Oshkosh in July. Unfortunately, the FBO would not answer my request for wind info (no ATIS there), and the guy in the pattern was extremely rude, so I continued on to Lake in the Hills, where they were very nice. Sorry 1C5, I won't plan on stopping there again.

This is a great stop, the food was good, reasonable, and sits right next to the FBO (A&M Aviation- they charge $3 per night tie down for single eng. Aircraft). There is also a miniature golf/arcade within 100 feet of the place! Enterprise rent-a-car is close and will deliver to the airport...I give this airport 5 stars.

Nice restaurant, pretty stereotypical $100 Hamburger place. Lineman was really nice.
