Once again, these folks have given me the best of service. Several loaner cars, (Miatas), clean facility, and pretty attendants! Sun 'n Fun fuel prices were the lowest around. Don't pass this place up!

Stopped in on the way home from Sun-n-Fun. The line crew was super! These gals know the meaning of southern hospitality. Service with a smile, warm cookies, what more could you ask for? Bay Minette is now on my list of stops when traveling to/from Florida.

You have got to stop here! Aircraft are fueled for you (same price as self serve) by beautiful line girls, windscreens are cleaned, borrowed one of several courtesy cars for short trip to town and had excellent Mexican food. The line girls also have made a very interesting Calendar featuring them. Don't miss this one.

Excellent service. Had to stay for 3 hours due to weather and it was easy. Used courtesy car for quick trip to town for fastfood. And the line girls certainly got my teenage boys attention! ;-)

Very helpful CSRs. We were met at the taxiway and marshaled in, although we were only one of a handful of planes on the ramp. Very well maintained FBO with all the services of a big high priced FBO. Fuel price very reasonable.

En route from West Palm Beach, Florida to home base, Athens, TX. I made my usual stop at Crestview, Florida. What a "bummer", not the same service, the folks were not friendly at all, no courtesy car or a way to get lunch. Decided not to buy fuel there, headed west with about one hour in the tanks. Called Bay Minette Unicom and a very friendly voice, Jessica, gave an airport advisory (received none at the old stop). Was met on the ramp by two very friendly and helpful young ladies, Ashley and Britney. Had a choice of courtesy cars to get lunch. Great stop and saved close to a "buck" a gallon on fuel. Thanks Jessica, Ashley and Britney can't wait until next trip in your part of the US.

Headed to Orlando, we stopped in while returning from Phoenix. Imagine my delight when a couple of southern belles popped out and in unison said in their lovely accents, "Would you like us to check the oil and wash your windshield?" It instantly reminded me of the reason 30 years previously I had captured one of these sweet young things and made her my very own. They grow lovely young women in Alabama and like good whiskey, they age well too. A stop in "Babe" Minette, AL is recommended, and not just for the decent fuel prices.

A flight of three arrived Thursday afternoon April 17 with our wives from Houston for a weekend of touring the Naval Air Museum and Mobile. We found the midfield FBO very nice and personnel very helpful. Our rent cars did not get delivered so the FBO gave us their courtesy car for the first night in Bay Minette. Fuel prices are much lower than in Mobile and auto fuel is now available at the FBO. They close at 5 PM so if you expect to arrive after that give them a call. The FBO personnel are very accommodating. Note, the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola is excellent, not a very far drive and free.

Excellent service, and very friendly. Great fuel prices. Several crew cars and close by eats. Easy ATC access with Mobile Approach. Well worth the stop! (Only drawback.... No parallel taxiway.)

Excellent stop! I stopped twice to/from Sun & Fun and was impressed. Very nice staff and good fuel prices. They also have several crew cars (including 2 Miatas) and there are numerous places for a quick bite to eat just 5 minutes away.

Stopped in for fuel on 21 Mar 08. Went to the mid-field self-service island. Young lady met us and asked if we had any questions. Pump worked great. Bathrooms were very clean. I did not notice any soda/vending machines. Might be some at facility at end of runway. Regardless, will stop again.

What a great FBO flew into Bay Minette to attend funeral. A sweet little blonde behind desk, gave the 5 of us a Town Car to drive, and she also fueled plane and gas was priced @ $4.10. Great service and great gas prices what a combination. Will use this FBO for fuel stop when ever possible. A bonus great food couple miles from airport.

Stopped here twice going and coming from Florida to Texas. Quick, Easy, Clean. The office and the bathrooms were locked on both stops. NO RESTROOMS WHEN CLOSED. I was fine, but my wife had issues with this problem. Perfect placement for this nice airport, but we need a restroom available when the FBO is closed.

I fly into Bay Minette once a month on business, and the crew at Bay Minette Aviation always takes great care of me. Fuel prices are excellent, service is outstanding, and the facilities are top notch. Always a great stop!

Stopped there twice in my C-182 this past week. FBO is very new and clean. The self-serve fuel pump area at the FBO is well maintained. They also have MOGAS available at the east end of the airport near the maintenance hangar. I used their equipment to wash the salt off my plane after returning from Florida. The staff was helpful. What a difference from when I stopped in 2004 and the place was an abandoned mess. Thanks.

Probably the best airport in Alabama. Nice FBO, extremely nice and accommodating staff, decent fuel prices, courtesy cars for loan, pilot accessories, nice lounge, bathrooms, etc., I offered to pay for a coke and was told it was free since I purchased fuel.

Landed here on a XC flight from Florida to New Mexico, did the GPS approach onto rwy 8, great airport, small town, nice people, friendly gas attendant, it was a cute blonde girl and she had a great southern accent, When taking off look of to your left heading west and you can see downtown Mobile, Alabama

Great pit stop. Very friendly and accommodating with good prices on fuel. Took the courtesy car into town for seafood and discovered a great Saturday night seafood buffet. Very down home.

My son and I used the airport 11/12/07 in our 310. Highly recommend as a fuel stop or destination. Friendly and courteous service. Self service fuel facilities new and user friendly. Terminal building facilities complete and immaculate. I am sure the ladies will appreciate this facility.

This FBO was, by far, the most satisfying and exceptional experience I ever had as a pilot. This airport was virtually deserted six months ago when I passed through, but I was totally impressed by the service. Sara came out to hold the hose (at SS at that!) while I climbed the ladder not to mention every other plane that went for the fuel. She advises on the CTAF for wind direction and alt setting. I was in a pickle with some affairs I had to take care of locally, and not only did they loan me the courtesy car for longer than normal, but Sara went so far above and beyond the duties of the FBO, that there was no way for me to thank them enough. My personal experience aside, these hard working people deserve your business. Not to mention, they have brought life back to this deserving airport. A++

This stop suggested by the fuel stop-planning feature of AirNav between the Dallas area and Kissimmee, Florida. I was originally concerned since AFD and AOPA Airport Directory indicated a M-F 7-7 operation. As it turns out, the FBO is manned 7 days a week, they do help with the self service if there and not busy, and self service is available 24/7. Two crew cars available for going into town for a bite to eat when the FBO is open. The FBO building is new and is a nice facility. The managers are friendly and helpful. We liked it so much on the way to Florida that we stopped on the way back, too, and enjoyed our Sunday buffet at Frazier's Restaurant. Fuel prices were excellent as advertised.

Just flew in to 1R8 as a flight of 2, from the very first CTAF call, I thought there was a tower. The staff responded with every bit of info you could need. This is the nicest FBO I have ever landed at. Complimentary beverages, ice, snacks, Internet pilot lounge with full bathroom nicer then my house! We sat in the rocking chairs out front for about a half hour and didn’t want to leave. The staff couldn’t be nicer or have a better attitude. I will make it a stop every time I fly over. Thanks guys the crew at Aviation One.

Obviously George and James want to take care of their customers. George met our plane with a smile as we taxied up and refueled for us at the "self service." We had ready access to a courtesy car. The small terminal building is brand new, clean, and well-stocked with amenities. Gas price was good too. Make Bay Minette a stop over. You won't be disappointed. The friendly service is a great contrast with the sullen and indifferent attendants at many FBO's (like at TMB).

Great stop! We stopped there last week on the way back to Georgia from Austin, TX on a Sunday afternoon. The two operators quickly fueled the airplane (even though it was self serve) and the facility is brand new. It was a 20-minute fuel and bathroom stop. We will be stopping there again. Thanks guys, I wish there were more general aviation supporters like you.

As a flight of two aircraft, we stopped at 1R8 as suggested by our AirNav least cost flight plan. The runway is in good shape, there is a brand new FBO terminal and very cordial people met us. We'll be back!

Great place to stop for fuel. Self-serve was very reasonable with new building, computer, & coffee. We were met by very friendly people and will be our stop on the next run to Disneyworld, Pensacola Museum, or other attractions in the area. We also got several tips from the FBO on route to Kissimmee airport (also correct pronunciation for it!)

Stopped on the way from Austin to Boca Raton. The FBO is brand new under new ownership of James Rockhill and George Sigler. They offer complementary drinks and light refreshments, great fuel prices and no tie down fee. We even were treated to use of the crew car for overnight when we decided to stay due to weather. Highly recommend and will certainly stop on the way home.
