Just an FYI: NIFC is not the people who answer the UNICOM. That would be the city. If you want to talk to NIFC you have to call "Flight Center" then they will answer.

I have been going through NIFC for years and have experienced great service. People are friendly and helpful. Very clean and professional services. They don't marshal you in or chalk you everytime, but not many small airports do anyways. Now with the lower fuel prices, it is even better to visit. Not sure what Mr. Bromschwig was looking at. Prices at 3CK have never been as high as ORD. Usually a buck or two less. I highly recommend NIFC.

New low fuel prices at 3CK! They are experimenting with low fuel prices to attract more pilots to stop in and fuel there. I always avoided fueling at 3CK in the past. At least for now they are the best choice in Northern Illinois, and it's full service.

Some of the employees are very nice.... Others not so much. If you are flying in aboard a Falcon jet, you will get the red carpet. If you are flying anything other than a Falcon, you might as well be on your own. Line guys will ignore you, FBO will overcharge for the fuel, and generally you will wonder how this airport survives.

Stopped there on 07-19/06. No one to greet me there. Had to go and find my own chocks. Nobody answered on Unicom either, even though there was plenty of people inside watching me check my own plane, and no one had the time to answer the radio. Fuel is ridiculously priced. It is actually cheaper by the gallon at O'Hare. Avoid 3CK like the black plague.

Flew in on April 10th and 12th for overnights. Unicom very slow on responding to radio, let me position plane by hand without offering help. Fuel very pricey. Runway uneven. Folks very nice when in direct conversation, could use more anticipation to pilot needs.

Arrived in a Warrior ~9 am. Nobody on the line, but unicom told me where to park when called. Treated us well. NIFC let my passenger and I use the courtesy car. Tanks topped off per request on time. WSI weather and phones in FBO. Would use them again.
