Talked to Mr. Wisener 4/16/08, fuel still $3.89. MC only, or debit card backed by MC or Visa OK. Self serve.

I stopped there on June 11th to pick up my daughter. Couldn't resist the relatively cheap fuel prices and filled her up including 30 in my tip tanks. I've been there 5 or 6 times in the past year and have never seen any life. I'm not sure if I will buy fuel here again. I love the prices but when I looked in the fuel area, there was a garden of slime growing in the containment area. Appears there is nobody to oversee it daily. Makes me wonder if the fuel I bought was one week or one year old. I do love the challenge of going in and out of here though. I just hope my engine never coughs on takeoff. The trees make this a lot shorter strip especially loaded with fuel. My butt is still puckered a little bit.

Called the number and got an answer! 100LL was quoted to me at $3.50/gal

Stopped by on 30 June 06 to find fuel had gone up from 2.90 to 3.25. All was locked up with no one around, but auto fuel pump worked fine. Finally found restrooms two buildings away in the back of building. Runway, ramp, and taxiway are in poor condition.... Watch out for trees on either end for takeoff and landing. Recommend elsewhere in area for pit stop.

Thank you for all your comments. Runway has been resurfaced; trees have existed for over 20 years. Home telephone number is 903-569-5275.

Have called the posted phone number over 10 times the past week to confirm availability of fuel and price, but never an answer. Must be closed - - Won't stop there!

NOTE: There are two windsocks at the field and you need to use both. (The trees screen the wind) The windsock on the beacon tower (at the south end of the field) will not properly indicate either wind speed or direction if the wind is from the North to the South. The wind sock at North end (above the hangers) will tell you of North winds. Similarly, the North windsock is not a help if the wind is blowing from South to North. Look at both windsocks and believe the one that gives the strongest indication.
