We flew our Piper 180 from Alexander City (KALX) to Scottsboro (4A6) today. The manager of the airport was so friendly. Put some fuel in our plane and handed my wife and I the keys to the courtesy car and we headed to the famous Unclaimed Baggage. Shopped all we wanted and stopped by the Liberty Restaurant and ate a good home cooked meal (1 meat 2 veggies $5.29). Took the car back to the airport and topped things off with a donut and headed back home. Thanks Scottsboro for being so kind. See you again soon!

Flew to 4A6 just for something to do. Mgr was extremely friendly & helpful (I think his wife was there too, also very friendly). I got a little turned around & called the airport. He helped me find the airport, just NW of the nuclear plant. Called me when I was still on the runway to see if I needed any services. Told him I needed a courtesy car if they had one. They gladly obliged, & gave us directions to 2 different restaurants, plus the Unclaimed Baggage store. Per the airport mgr's advice, we ate at the Pikeville Store - a 100-year-old gas station/grocery store/burger joint/hardware store out in the country. Awesome burger basket! No charge for courtesy van, no ramp fees, and very helpful! Very friendly, even showed us pictures of the fly-in they had last weekend. Can't get much better! Wasn't particularly impressed with the prices at Unclaimed Baggage.

What a great airport, friendly staff was waiting to service my 172 at the gas pump...Brought the staff van to the door with the motor and air running. While you are there it's worth your time to go shopping at "unclaimed baggage" you could spend the day shopping if your not careful.

Fantastic! Great service, and helped us out, by letting us use the courtesy van to find a place to spend the night. Nice clean FBO, and the A/C worked great. A great place to stop.

We flew over to shop at Unclaimed Baggage and found the facility closed! My fault, I really should have called ahead...They held an air show the day before and were closed for Memorial Day. Another pilot taxied up, let me in, called the owner and made sure I had the keys to the courtesy van. Real nice folks and a great new facility.
