This is a beautiful airport located close to the ski resort. Runway is relatively short and winds are generally from the NW but if you know your airplane it should be a "piece of cake"! Use soft field techniques as the runway has seen "better days" although this is much better than grass. Fuel is generally cheaper than anywhere else and if you call Bob North ahead of time you can rent a car for the day (during Summer, if you don't have a car just walk 5 minutes up Airport Road and you'll get to the golf course restaurant, where the food is excellent). Golf is open to visitors so I dropped a friend for a day of golf and I hung around at the airport (I forgot to mention that the club house has a pool table and if you are lucky enough to find somebody around you can challenge yourself). There are also two tennis courts but I haven't "challenged" myself at that yet... I will definitely come back!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Runway slightly rough but certainly usable. Only thing to watch out for-- when we came in, winds were calm at 1, 000 AGL but any altitude below that (on final RWY 1 or takeoff RWY 1) yielded pretty severe turbulence. This airport is in a valley and the winds are strong and variable. Combine that with its proximity to mountainous terrain and all those trees... Use caution! Did I mention the staff was really friendly? They also have 100LL, although it's not depicted on the map.

Flew into Mt. Snow on October 14th. I called ahead to Bob North who returned my call and gave me some information on the older runway. The runway is old but very usable and I experienced no problems in or out. Very pleasant people and a great little GA airport. You do not need tundra tires at this airport!

Flew my Seneca into Mt Snow last week on a charter pickup. Maybe I have a below average standard for runway quality, but this one was fine with me. Sure there are crack's, but no hazzard's that I saw. Also, it had just snowed and the runway was already plowed. However, wind's were very strong so make sure you know what you're doing.

Who owns this place? Why don't they repave it and put up a sock? Such a fantastic location. Darn shame if you ask me, which you didn't, but I'm telling you anyway. Lets get some asphalt and do it ourselves.

Tried landing at Mount Snow yesterday but had to move on to Rutland instead because the winds were too strong. The FSS weather briefer has said that winds on the ground in the area were calm, however, they were anything but. The winds were spinning around the valley were the field is located creating dangerous conditions for my archer. I was also surprised to see that there was no windsock on the field, making addressing the swirl winds almost impossible. If you're going to go to Mount Snow be prepared for dangerous and unpredictable winds.

Very rough broken asphalt with fairly large potholes. "Overrun" area off the end of the runway filled with debris. You should have tundra tires if you want safe landings here. Unattended when I stopped there.
