Spent a week at 50R while in Austin. Easy in/out, no fees (even for parking), good fuel prices. Uber to Austin was < $50 with tip. I will be back. 2 suggestions: 1) improve the bathroom facilities; they are probably fine for most pilots, but sometimes our passengers are more picky. 2) Reach out to local hotels for information and maybe some special rates. When I asked the lady at the desk about a hotel to stay at overnight, she said that since she lives in Lockhart, she didn't know anything hotels in town. I walked to the ABVI next door; it served the purpose.
