I fly in here all the time for fuel. The runway is newly resurfaced, newly painted and in great condition. Unattended so no restrooms, but the SS fuel pump works perfect every time and they have the best fuel prices around this part of the country.

The Broke Spinner Society was in Diamondhead 10/10/09. We went over for hamburgers and a good time. We found what we were looking for. Visited with some old friends and made a few new ones. Looking forward to next month. As for 66Y, there is still no FBO but the fuel pump works and the runway is in fine shape. Watch out for deer and hogs though. Saw four hogs the other night.

Fuel update as of Jun 2007, however their website says "no FBO services available at this time". Is 66Y just a strip with a functioning self-serve pump? Thanks, Bruce

The Diamondhead Airport is well on its way back from Katrina's damage. The airport is open, has self-serve fuel, and ramp space. Many airport residents (including my husband and I) have re-built or are in the rebuilding process. Want to help us in our recovery efforts? Please stop in to visit, buy fuel, and let us see those beautiful airplanes grace the skies over Diamondhead again.
