Please understand, we cannot supply restrooms, computers, crew cars and FBO facilities for our opponent who has none.

Seems we end up here every year around the 4th of July to see my Uncle and Aunt and we did again this year. As always Steve and Michelle took great care of us. Some of the hardest working folks I have ever known. Steve is a character for sure. By the way...Steve has the nicest Cessna 320 in the world. I always enjoy reading all of the old airplane ads on the walls. There are always donuts and coffee too. Service that serves...Northstar Aviation 6S5 Thanks Steve & Michelle...See ya next year if not sooner.

I've been flying professionally for 18 years. Over that time I've flown business jets in and out of just about every airport and F.B.O. you can imagine. It is with great pleasure I recommend North Star Aviation at the Ravalli County Airport as my "Top Choice" F.B.O. As every other Captain in this business will tell you, we expect great service from an F.B.O., just as our demanding passengers expect great service from us. North Star delivers, consistently, everything we need. They are, without question, Number 1!!

Steve and Michelle provide absolutely top tier service. They anticipate your needs and respond immediately to your requests. If you need a quick turn with fuel at a tremendous price, stop here. If you are staying for awhile, Steve and Michelle provide small town hospitality and big city service. Their pride in their business and their community comes through loud and clear.

From Jack Minikey on 25-Jul-2007
As one of the previous posts indicate, it is difficult to tell that there are two FBO's on the field. We recently stopped for fuel (6 planes) and fueled up at Hamilton Aviation and one of our passengers wandered into the North Star Aviation building to use the rest room. He is a non-pilot and didn't realize that there were different FBOs until he was told that if we didn't buy fuel from them we were not welcome to use their facilities. Apparently we got caught up in some petty feud between the FBOs. I will not recommend a facility that behaves in such a manner and the next time through will buy fuel from the competition even if they are higher.

I have been flying into "North Star Aviation" for so long now that my original post has been deleted. During the past years I have NEVER had a bad experience at North Star. Steve (the owner) has helped me dig my aircraft out of the snow, he's run deer off the runway so I could land, and he has always been there with a smile and a helping had when we arrived. Over the years Steve and his sweet wife, Michelle, have never treated me with anything other than EXECELLENT service. They Go the "EXTRA MILE"

Steve and Michelle run the absolute friendliest and most customer service oriented FBO that I ever dealt with. Period. I arranged a hangar and car with Steve weeks in advance and when we arrived in a Bonanza everything was just as discussed and we received the same level of service the Citations and King Air's were getting. Phone calls were returned promptly. Business colleges should send their students on a field trip to North Star Aviation. I would rent a car from Steve and drive 200 miles just to know my airplane was in safe hands!

From Roland Turney on 27-May-2007
I have been based at the Hamilton Airport since 1995 and a customer of North Star Aviation since 1999. North Star owner, Steve Wolters, reported to the FAA that I had violated the FAR prohibiting aerobatic flight within 4 miles of a Victor airway. I lost my license for a period of 30 days. I have chosen to discontinue business with North Star Aviation. I will take my business to Hamilton Aviation. Steve's email to the FAA: "Steve" 07/03/2006 07:30 AM To Kenneth Conrad/ANM/FAA@FAA Subject Aerobatics At 11AM on Sunday 7/2/06, Mark Fournier gave aerobatic dual to a local airplane owner, Roland Turney in the owners experimental bi-plane, N180BJ. I have the recording from the Unicom tape which states "Hamilton traffic, bi plane bravo juliet is going to be doing aerobatics about three miles east of Hamilton at or below fifty five hundred". It's a small airplane so I could not get any pictures that showed the attitude. Steve Wolters North Star Aviation Inc Hamilton, MT 6S5

Response from Steve Wolters, North Star Aviation
On Monday July 3, 2006 at about 7:00 AM, I received a call from Ken Conrad at the FAA inquiring about an aerobatic flight that took place the day before involving Mark Fournier and Roland Turney. I told them what I saw and complied with Mr. Conrad's request to send him an email summarizing the facts of the incident. He also asked if I would forward any recorded Unicom radio transmissions pertaining the this flight, which Mr. Conrad had previously requested we monitor and record. I complied with the FAA requests and would do it again if asked, even though I don't enjoy being caught in the crossfire. One important note, the FAA was not investigating Mr. Turney but rather his instructor Mark Fournier, owner of Viper Air/Pogo Pumps/Hamilton Aviation. Since Mr. Turney refused to cooperate, the FAA charged him in addition to his instructor Mr. Fournier

First time into Hamilton. The owners of North Star (Steve and Michelle) made it a great experience. Great facility, great service, great hospitality, and one of the coolest hand painted wall murals you'll ever see. I travel all over the country and have experienced many FBO's and different service. North Star gives the big airport support and service, with the small town personal touch. I look forward to the next time I'm there. Thanks again for a wonderful experience.

I routinely fly all over the U.S., landing at both very small airports and very large airports. In my travels, I have received extremely poor customer service as well as excellent customer service. I have flown into Hamilton over 20 times over the last 5 years. Every time I have flown into Hamilton, whether it's at 7 am or 10 pm, I am met at the ramp, offered a courtesy car, over night hangar, treated courteously and professionally, etc. In short, the customer service at North Star Aviation is as good as it gets. I haven't encountered any better.

My wife and I stopped for the night Steve provided a courtesy car. Secured a room for us in the beautiful Bitter Root Inn, recommended a superb restaurant next door {The Edge} it was a very nice stop. We will return!!
