Stopped due to good halfway stop from MN to MA and reasonable fuel. Found nice accessible facility, straight shooter mechanic (Jay Burton), and volunteer airport manager (Ted Huntoon) all extremely helpful above and beyond when starter failed on return trip. Thanks!!!

Flew in to Marlette for a week to visit family. Great facility and very impressive. To all of you that work and volunteer, ....Keep up the great work. I have never been to a facility like it. I can't expand on the particulars, but you will have no problem with fuel, access to restrooms, or flight planning facilities. If Marlette is anywhere near your destination, put this one on your list. Bring tie downs and chock blocks.
