FYI.. The runway is 4500' long and 70' wide. This airport can handle all turboprops and most light to medium jets.

Just to update the situation, the tornado last February completely destroyed the Chevy dealer, so no cars are available at Mountain View that I am aware of. I hope someone picks that up! I'm not sure if or when the Chevy dealer will be back. The town square is a mile or two from the airport, in easy walking distance. And I don't think I've ever walked it without being offered a ride!

Just had a nice day trip to Mountain View with the family. To echo John's comment below, the local Chevy dealer will still provide a car for $35/day (1-800-467-3214 and ask for Charles). The building is nice, and the normal pilot secret codes will open the door. (I don't think it's ever attended, at least I've never seen it.) In response to the comment below regarding the self service, swipe your card again after turning the pump off and it will offer to print a receipt.
