This is a GREAT fuel stop or lunch stop. Fuel was cheap when I visited. The fuel area has tools hanging on the wall to borrow, cans of oil for sale on the honor system, air for your tires, and more. There are 'Courtesy Bicycles' for visitors' use. The food was the best I recall in 25 years of visiting airport cafes, and you can sit out on the deck and watch the aircraft come and go. I wish I lived closer.

Cheapest fuel around. The restaurant is open and serves very tasty food. Prices are reasonable too. Nice people.

The Starduster Cafe hours have been extended. They are now open from 6am to 3pm seven days a week. They've got good food at reasonable prices. That, combined with some of the lowest fuel prices in the area (currently $3.95) makes Independence a great place to stop!

The Starduster Cafe is now open again - from 6am to 2 pm. We ate there this past weekend and the food and service were both good. It's great to have the restaurant open again!

Such a great little airport, it's a shame the restaurant is closed. There are a couple of loaner bikes to use for a quick ride into town for a bite. Best fuel prices around still and I try and buy gas here when practical.

As of 3/18/06 the restaurant/lounge is closed and for sale. Great fly-in community. Nice place to practice landings. Gas is cheaper than most places.
