The runway has been newly paved and striped and is in excellent condition. There are no lights, fuel or transportation services. Landing fee is $ 20. And tie-downs are on a first come first serve availability. Tie-down fee is $ 10. Per day. If planning to fly in contact Security at 850-927-2362.

St George Island is a great place for a weekend or weeklong trip in your plane. Great places to stay and eat. The security folks will make you more than welcome.

We flew to St George Island on Oct. 6th 2006 and found the runway to be in good condition. We were there for the 1st annual oyster spat festival and really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks to Pat for coming along and rescuing us when we arrived and thanks to Bob for helping us when we were leaving. The $20 landing fee and the tie down fee is ok with me, especially when we had a great time and met some wonderful people

Great little airport. Runway is in OK condition, tie downs and chocks always there. There is a landing fee of $20.00 but well worth it. Someone has to help maintain it, as I am sure there is no government money there. Tyndall App can be a problem, I have not been able to contact them on 124.15 under 3000'. You are right into their MOA on leaving St. George.
