I landed at both Big Bear and Corona yesterday. Fuel at Big Bear was $3.75, and at Corona $3.69.

I've been watching CORONA AIR VENTURES'S price and it seems like it's more competitive than it was at the time of my last post. Typically runs about $.25 a gallon more than Big Bear and that's where it used to be.

From Steve Peters on 09-Jan-2009
I agree with the last post that they have gotten a little greedy. The jet fuel prices are way higher than Chino ($.50) and Big Bear ($1.30/gal more). I used to buy fuel here, but not since they have jacked up their profits. The newer owners are not running this place the same and they don't provide the most competitive pricing like they used to have. I rarely come here anymore, and when I did, their fuel business seems much slower, no wonder. I hope they change back to a better pricing system.

You may want to price shop before coming to Corona for fuel. Prices are not what it used to be.

I think Corona Air Ventures deserves the highest "attaboy" for local general aviation enthusiasts. During these hard times, they have consistently kept the price per gallon down to help aviation survive and keep the love of aviation alive. My hat is off to them, and I will not buy fuel at my home base as the pricing is absurd.

Corona has a well-deserved local reputation of having the best fuel prices and service in the area.

Quick Angel Flight drop in for fuel after hours. Guaranteed price of $5.00 was not the pump price. Paid $5.199 per gallon of 100LL. Still good price.

From Jon Wells on 06-Jan-2008
Great guys!! Cheapest fuel around and provide an additional discount for Angel Flight Pilots who are flying a mission that day (additional 10 cents off). Bring your mission form, but always-good prices no matter where you go.

I checked out the AirNav site for Corona (AJO) and the Phillips fuel for 100LL was "GUARANTEED" for $3.95 on the this website. I arrived two hours later to find it at $3.999 on their pump. I mentioned it and they didn't give me the GUARANTEED price but new price! So much for "Guaranteed"!!!

They are still doing the weekend discount.

From H Taylor on 31-Jan-2007
Popular fuel stop in Southern California cheap fuel during the week and often discounted on weekends. Three 100LL pumps and sometimes there is still a wait. Credit Card reader is kind of funky, but there is usually an attendant during the day to help. And where else is there a covered self-serve fuel island? Good place for fuel and cool little airport too!!
