Great Service, car rental at the FBO with cars available just steps from your plane.

I stopped at AMW for the cheaper gas (than DSM). The FBO staff was friendly and helpful. Although, if you need to wait out weather that might require a late departure, they aren't a 24-hour operation. But, if all you need is an intermediate stop, they get my recommendation!

Landed here on a Veterans Airlift Command flight bringing a wounded soldiers family home. They do not offer a discount to charitably organizations. Gas was reasonable, friendly rampers, and a nice facility.

Flew in last weekend in single piston aircraft. 3/4 inch fresh snow on runway when landing (understandable) and was still there the next morning 16 hours later. Cold temps and needed jump start - battery cart almost dead, so they used GPU - $70 charge.

Stopped on our way home from Colorado and borrowed the crew car to drive into town. Ate at Hickory Park, a great BBQ spot, worth the stop!

Just a great stop. I think this place has been in the family about as long as I can remember.
