Sierra Vista Aviation is a small, friendly flight school at Auburn Airport. This Labor Day weekend I had arranged to rent their Piper Arrow (a really nice PA28-200R) and I found out it was undergoing maintenance and I became concerned that I would not be able to take the plane for the holiday weekend. The flight school kept me up-to-date on the maintenance and did their best to make sure that the plane was ready for me when I needed it for a six hour round trip into central Oregon. It ended up being ready in ample time, tested and ready to go for me when I took it Saturday morning. The plane easily reached 12500 and kept on climbing, well loaded. I'm also pleased with the promotional rental rate of $98/hour, which was recently offered, an unbelievable deal for a great plane. The airplane is extremely well maintained and has a recently overhauled engine. I'm definitely happy with the service and the friendly atmosphere at Sierra Vista. Definitely worth stopping by on a trip to Auburn.
