Great place to stop. Many good eating places within 2 miles. They have a courtesy car and good fuel prices.

I flew in on the Sunday after Thanksgiving to pick up some family members. I refueled at the SS pumps (good price) and when I went to start up my right engine would do nothing. I discovered the lub on the battery cable to the right started was broken. I went to the FBO and asked if there was a mechanic on call. They had a mechanic there within 15 minutes (I believe his name was Paul) and he had me on my way in less than an hour. Great service anytime but especially on a holiday weekend. Thanks for the great service.

Very nice field. Great service with parking from an Auburn, no doubt, student with his bright orange shirt. Friendly staff with a "hometown" atmosphere. The building is 'dated' no doubt, but has warmth that you don't find at many fields anymore. Beautiful area as you are approaching the airport. Keep up the good work, folks!!!

Stopped at KAUO for a quick fuel stop. No one showed up to help us park the airplane . . . And, of course, we parked in someone's reserved spot. However, people there were very friendly and helpful. Although not the best airport out there (facilities are old and taxiway pretty rough), I would go there again without any reservations.

After reading the comments, I was concerned about stopping here but decided to anyway because it worked for my flight plan. I was very pleasantly surprised -- the facilities are as good as most airports I stop at, and they have a WSI weather computer for flight planning. Nice folks -- we were marshaled in and parked; they had the plane tied down before I could get the bags unloaded. They let us use the courtesy car overnight, which saved us cab fare to the hotel. Overall a great experience, we'll be back.

Nice airport, friendly, accommodating and courteous people. Was marshaled in and parked professionally. The facilities are antique, but they are making the best out of it with what they have. Thanks for great service. Fuel prices for Jet-A well within reason. Love to come back!

Flew in for a football game. AUO is the worst airport I've been to. Other places that hosts large crowds know how to handle it. They go the extra mile to make the crews comfortable. Not AUO. The facilities are totally inadequate, run down, trashy, and uncomfortable. The people working were friendly enough, however there were not enough of them. Some planes were charged a ramp fee, others were not. Only one shuttle van to transport pax from isolated parking spots, and not a single comfortable chair. The list goes on and on. Is apparent that AUO has made NO EFFORT what-so-ever to even try to improve it's image, service, or facilities given the exposure & volume it receives nearly every weekend during the college football season. In the future, I'll be getting a limo for my passengers from CSG and if I can't do that, I'll surely plan for a fuel stop somewhere else so I don't have to spend any money here. AUO is not worth supporting because they obviously just don't care.

Response from Bill Hutto, Auburn University Aviation, Airport Director
Response to J Louv, we deeply regret you did not have a good experience at AUO. It is our goal to provide excellent customer service despite our admitted needed for improved facilities. By the end of the football season, however, guests should see the site work for the new terminal building underway. A new, much larger facility and ramp is going to be constructed on the east side of the airport. This will greatly assist us in our efforts to provide "comfortable chairs" and the space needed for an enjoyable stay. If all goes as planned, this building may be ready for use by the time LSU visits again in 2008. In the meantime, our "friendly" staff will make every effort to ensure our guests enjoy their stay at AUO. Visitors are encouraged to visit our website, www.auoairport.com, for game day information.

Experience at Auburn's airport was great. Line service is very professional as well as customer service. However, the facilities at the airport are very outdated. An updated FBO is highly needed and the administration should cater to pilots with updates such as: better resting areas, crew cars and pilot briefing room with Internet access.

Prices back to ridiculous. Not stopping on the way to Florida. Come on you guys! I can get gas for a dollar less within 100 miles.

I have had two really pleasant experiences with this airport. Friendly, helpful, and professional staff. Quick fuel, and they are using this place to teach students pursuing an aviation career. Thanks for teaching the students the RIGHT way to run things...

Fuel and lunch stop 3/15. Truck was there before I could make the "where's Waldo" picture. Ate at Niffer's. Good food at reasonable price. Good experience all around.

Prices back in line. Did stop there on recent trip and service was excellent as always. Glad they came to their senses on gas price. It'll be our regular stop again.

Very nice facility, great college-age staff with friendly, can-do attitude. This is a "happening" place in aviation. That's great to see. Fuel price was right in line with the market.

I was planning on stopping here on my way to Florida since I always have, but with these outrageous price I will go somewhere else.
