We stopped in here in our Lear 55 earlier this month. We had an avionics issue, and although there is no avionics shop here, Ben Wells and his staff went out of their way to help myself and the technicians for Stevens Beechcraft with everything we needed to get our airplane fixed. Also my hat is off to the fellow who runs Belle Aviation maintenance for the use of his power cart. Thanks to all at Million Air and the Ashville Airport.

Good service. Nice FBO. I told them I'd be there for 2 hours and for some reason they took my Bonanza and parked it way down at the end of the line and tied it down. I had to ask 3 different people where my airplane was. Not major problem. Perhaps some would consider this good service.

This FBO sets the standard!! I flew in to attend the horse show at the agricultural center. The lineman had my 172 fueled before I made it inside to give my credit card to the staff. The ladies inside were very courteous and helpful. Even though I bought only ten gallons, I was treated very well. By far, I got to drive the nicest crew car ever. I wish all FBO's provided service as well as this one!!

I am the Immediate Past President of the Flying Physicians Association. We had a week-long meeting in Asheville from July 6-11, 2008, and used Million Air for exhibitors, fueling, tie downs, and Hertz car rentals. The service at Million Air was fabulous. Ben Wells, the manager, and his staff were extremely attentive to our needs, and I have nothing but good things to say about my dealings with Million Air over a period of two years in planning our meeting. I would encourage any organization or individual to use AVL with Million Air as their FBO.

We have been to many FBO's inside and out of the United States and we are extremely pleased with the Million Air FBO in Asheville, North Carolina. They continue to give top notch service every time we arrive there. The employees are always friendly and courteous. The personal service and attention to detail have always exceeded our expectation. We would highly recommend Million Air to other flight crews visiting the area. We appreciate the excellent service and look forward to our return. Thanks Asheville Million Air.

Nice full service stop. Fuel price was 6.20 including tax. Rental car was waiting on us. They also got my family a crew rate of $149 at the Renaissance Hotel downtown-$30 cheaper than the beat online rate I could find! Arrived at night, this airport is located near mountainous terrain- ask for the ILS if unfamiliar with terrain.

I always thought I was getting great service at FBO's but a new standard has been set by Million Air. Our PA28 was greeted as if it were a G-V. Zack ran out and waved us to parking and when he saw we had some luggage, he hustled back and returned with a golf cart to take transport us and our gear to the FBO. I had reserved a car from Enterprise and told them I was arriving at Million Air. I soon discovered the front desk staff had my paperwork and the keys to the car. Oh my, how great is that! The women at the desk introduced my wife to the stack of chocolate-chip cookies, fresh from the oven and showed her where the popcorn and Starbucks coffee was located – all gratis. When we returned, Albert hustled out and carried my luggage and gear into the FBO. He positioned the golf card for us. We were not ready to leave, so Albert went on to support another pilot and queued Zack to be ready to take us out to the flight line. Five stars all around.

Update to my 2 May comment: I just got a note in the mail from the AVL Million Air Director of Marketing, Tamara M. Tamara evidently reads this site and was surprised to learn of the disconnect between "tax included" vs "not included" pricing. She sent me a very nice (handwritten) card & even a nice LED flashlight. I certainly wasn't expecting it! While I still think it's far more standard to include tax in listed fuel prices, I have to say I'm impressed with a company, which takes customer satisfaction this seriously. Thanks, Tamara!

We frequently fly into Million Air and have always found their staff, from the front desk to the lineman, to be exceptional and very accommodating. For example, one late night a couple of years ago, Liz went above and beyond by staying after hours to be sure we had a rental car. Another trip, Travis did all he could to help us with our dead battery...Another time, with a thrown alternator belt. Seems like something every trip. From the ever-present fresh baked cookies to the staff smiles, they are the best! I truly feel Ben has set the highest of standards for this gem of an FBO and that they ALL do everything they can to make us feel right at home! Why go anywhere else when you have the best right here.

Arrived Sun 6-9-08 and the place was busy with planes arriving and children being dropped off for camp. The crew cars were all out, and Sherry at the front desk actually let us use her vehicle to go out and get some food. What other place or person would do this for a crew? I feel that this was above and beyond the services offered at any FBO. She said, "Excuse the dirty mess in the vehicle!" If only she could have seen my car. It even had the smell of coconuts/pina colada inside. At first I thought I was in the islands! One of the GPU's went down when it was attached to our LR 55 and the line personnel quickly put another one on the plane. When can I come back? Great place to go too!

Million Air's posted gas prices (at AVL, at least) DO NOT include 6.7% sales tax--their posted price of $5.51 for 100LL is really $5.88, as I discovered the hard way yesterday.... :(

Great service. Flew in at 2:30 am.1-19-08. David (line man) had our rental (Surbuban) warmed up and ready to go. Thanks goodness cause It was 12 degrees outside. He helped with my five passengers and all the luggage. Left on Monday at 4:30 pm and our plane was fueled and ready to go. I have to tell you they treated us like we were a jet customer. Fantastic!

Flew into AVL on Dec. 3. Lineman greeted us and had the plane chocked before I could tell him we were not staying and we only had one passenger to drop off. Very positive experience (except for the gusty winds and mountain waves) will definitely visit again

My wife and I flew in from KHXD on the morning of the 12th to meet my father for lunch. Excellent service! A lineman was in position to marshall in the plane... no need to wait as I have at other airports. In addition, the ladies behind the desk were very pleasant and helpful. I look forward to using Million Air (KAVL) in the future.

I sure am glad everyone else is happy with Million Air. Now I know how they got their name. Dropped off two pax and was not on their ramp 2 mins and they hit me for a $150.00 "FACILITY-FEE". I think they should change the name to OK Corral run by Jesse James.

Arrived Saturday morning. Million Air was busy. Greeted by professional line guy and the rental car counter guy! Had us unloaded and on our way in minutes. Great customer skills and service. My pax were very impressed with the service (I was too, especially with a lot full of jets!) Later, I called for plane to be pulled back around...It was waiting on us.. The ladies behind counter were very nice.. Great experience.. Who could ask for more?

Stopped in for the 4th of July weekend and were treated very well. Nice and helpful people. Have been here several times before and will return again. The reserved rental car was nowhere to be found, even thou Hertz is in the FBO, but they worked this out very quickly from the front desk and we were pleased. Fuel is a bit pricey but a clean and friendly place to stop...

Stopped in for a passenger pick-up, there is not enough room here to go over all of the problems we encountered. This is the ABSOLUTELY worst FBO service ever!! I love the Asheville area; it's just very unfortunate there is competition at this airport, because Million Air wouldn't survive. They don't even get it!!

An update on my recent experience with Million Air at AVL. I had the opportunity to speak with Ben Wells (their GM) today and he apologized profusely for the inconvenience we experienced on our recent trip. It's nice to know that there are still companies out there that are willing to admit a mistake and go out of their way to fix it, and for that, I applaud them.

I have stopped at this FBO several times in the past, and have never had a problem. We arrived 03/26 at 9:00PM and told them we would be back around 2:00AM. When we returned, nobody was at the FBO. Doors were locked. Despite calling this FBO for nearly an hour, beating on the door and even honking the rental car horn, we finally had to call the police to get access to our aircraft. I called and left a message and they still haven't even returned my call. I guess you can get away with it when you are the only FBO on the field...

Great staff! Friendly and professional. I fly in to AVL 2-3 times a year on Angel Flight missions. They always discount the fuel by a $1.00/gallon In addition they are a first rate operation!! Thanks again for your kindness to me and to the Angel Flight Organization.

Visited the Biltmore and spent 2 nights. FBO services were great. They met my airplane (SEL) as I taxied up, had it ready when I returned, and drove my wife and me out to the airplane with our bags on departure day. I thought fees and fuel were very reasonable. ATC personnel are also great

Stayed overnight at Million Air in AVL and was treated very fairly by all at the facility...I fly a Cherokee and if you fly a small plane just be aware that you will most likely have to walk to the parking area with all of your gear, not a long walk, but not a short one either...I will return and will be glad to do so...

My wife and I flew in for a few day visits to Biltmore in mid October. We were provided a most satisfactory level of service both inside and out. (i.e. Limo arranged, fuel and overnight parking) Pricing seemed quite reasonable for all the services provided. We would certainly return in future.

I am a Mooney M20C driver, and received excellent treatment at Million Air. I arrived for a long weekend, during which I had to fly a mission, and return in Low IFR, with high winds the next day. They found me a space in their "bulk hangar, " and pulled the plane out for me when it was time to go. Rental car was available on arrival, and they let me leave it in the airplane parking spot when I left. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Yeah, fuel is the highest around ... But the service at least was commensurate. So many "Big" FBO's have the high fuel price, and treat their piston customers like an annoyance. Not here. Kudos to Million Air.

A very pleasant experience. I emailed Million Air for some general information. Sherry called me back, and got me a better reservation at the Holiday Inn then at the Days Inn. She stated Million Air gets good rates at Holiday because of the volume of business they give them. The Holiday Inn was very nice, restaurant, bar, and a free shuttle to and from the airport. The Holiday Inn also has National & Alamo car rentals, while Million Air uses Hertz. Million's Hertz rates are real competitive to the Internet rates. I arrived late Friday night in my Cherokee 140 and the line guy got us all checked in and called the Hotel for our shuttle, later in the morning the customer service girl got our car and us on our way. Within a mile of the Airport there is a Target, Best Buy and a few other big retail chains. As others have stated this FBO provides some outstanding customer service, with the common negative of the high price for fuel. I will be back again.

Service is friendly, and the facilities are clean and adequate. However, the fees are unreasonable and the gas is expensive. AVL is the closest airport to my family. Landing just to grab a quick meal and pick up a family member, then taking off an hour and a half later will cost either $30 or a minimum of 30 gallons of fuel in a Twin Cessna. Since our plane won't burn 30 gallons between home and AVL, we are stuck with the fee. In return, we get nothing but a parking space for a short time. Fees at much nicer FBOs in much larger cities aren't nearly as high.

Line staff was great and counter staff did help us with rooms and a rental car but I must gripe about their fees. Called ahead before our trip and was told to expect $150 or 150 gallons per day for our airplane. Only had a 40-minute flight each way so we did not need any fuel. Was hit by the counter for $750 for our 3-day stay. Explanation was that it was a $250 handling fee per day or 250 gallons for our aircraft. When asked what their parking fee was we were told it is the same as their handling fee. I can understand a one time handling fee for coming and going but it should not be the same price to park. It should also be a little more reasonable and in line with the rest of the market. They did not "handle" us during the time we were parked on the overflow ramp. They did honor their original quote but even that was steep for the area. This is AVL, not LAX. Will definitely go elsewhere if at all possible next time.

This is a super FBO, worth the visit every time. The pilots lounge is the best that I have seen. It is upstairs with a great view of the field. The staff has always been helpful, courteous and prompt to deal with requests. Cannot reccommend this spot too highly.
