Disappointing and consistent with other negative reviews regarding this FBO!! After a half dozen position calls to Unicom before and after landing and asking for airport advisory, nobody ever answered Unicom. Landed and parked without assistance. NO aircraft activity in pattern or on ramp. No evidence of line guy after shutting down the engines, line guy appears and tells me I must move my airplane because faded parking spot is no longer a parking spot. No tow available or GPU offered for twin turboprop. Need to battery start to move airplane 500 feet. Apparent laziness and ignorance combined with poor customer attitude.

Having read the negative comments here before going to BPK made me very apprehensive. However, the folks on duty when I was there were friendly & helpful. I was offered the crew car for lunch & I purchased a small amount of courtesy fuel. The fuel price of $3.66 posted in the office for jet is not the bottom line. It came out to $4.27/gal.

I made an unscheduled stop 4/6 due to potential icing conditions and could not have been treated better. I was warmly greeted and they helped me find a local hotel with the best rate. I was provided keys to a typical airport "beater" but it got me to town and there was no fee. Next morning my plane was fueled as requested. It is not a very elegant facility but fuel price was fair and service was fine. Not much in town and I was not there to fish at Gaston’s but I certainly would not hesitate to use this FBO if you have a reason to stop in the area.

Stopped in twice in the past few weeks. Have to say I agree with past comments, NOT friendly. They have a big note on their front desk board about Service. I am not sure why they have that; it does not apply to this FBO. FYI there is a Hertz location that will deliver cars,

This FBO could have made a good impression, but missed. It is made clear by a sign placed at the self-service pump (owned by a competitor) that we should not use the FBO's facilities. Don't worry; we won't even use the runway again! Of course we stopped here for the low price on fuel. The FBO still had a chance to sell me oil, snacks, charts, etc. Open hostility toward pilots who are trying to save money is no way to do business. Hopefully airport management will eventually see the position that these policies place the transient pilot in, and set some ground rules (including access to the Subway that is nominally on field, with signs prohibiting access from the fueling area).

Flew in as a student cross country (twice) and my 172 was met by a marshaller. After explaining that I didn't need gas, was invited in to relax. Really nice folks and FBO. On my second XC into BPK, there was some confusion with my flight plan and FSS had contacted my wife, scaring her pretty badly. The folks insisted I use their phone to call her, even though it was long distance and again, I hadn't spent a cent for services. Excellent customer service on both trips. Thank you Lori!

I fly alot on business and I find it difficult to duplicate the great service we have at our local FBO. While their fuel may not be the least expensive you can find their service more than offsets it. Keep up the great work.

Flew in to check on mother in law and arrived a bit late so I just tied down and headed in to town. Called the next morning and asked for top off which was taken care of by the time I arrived that afternoon. I did not see any signage of extra fees for using bathroom, but did ask what SS price was and was surprised when told that they did not know. I expressed my surprise with a comment about the tank being so close. Was even more surprised when I looked on AirNav and it was posted there. After having read earlier comments it is a bit disappointing that the pilots end up in the middle of these issues. I liked the FBO and the staff seemed nice enough, but, now that I know how the airport works I will simply do as I saw others doing. I will land, get fuel on my own and be on my way.

These guys are great! Every time I visit there, they come out to give me the best service whether I buy fuel or not. Also last time I was there I accidentally left my wedding ring in the men's room and they found it... kept it locked up until I called the next day... and returned it to me. Valuable ring even without sentimental value. Thanks again Danny!

Stopped at Mountain Home Flight Service to wait out the fog at Gaston's. As always these people went out of their way to make us at home. We used the wireless Internet to do some work while we waited. The staff called Gaston's several times checking on the fog conditions for us. We bought no fuel, but had several cups of coffee and used the facility for 3 hours. This was all supported by the fuel that is purchased by pilots just like me. I will be returning to this FBO today and will make sure I need fuel. I can't imagine any pilot who owns a 30 to 100 thousand dollar aircraft or maybe even a million would land at any place expecting someone to take care of all their needs what ever they are and not make a profit. What if your county opened a business like yours and let the taxpayers pay the entire overhead and put you and your family out of a paycheck. Unless you are willing to work your job for free, don't expect these folks to either.

I used to stop here en route to OK from KY I don't make that trip anymore, but FBO was always a friendly, professional, helpful, full service establishment. This is proof of what most pilots worrying about their pockets forget. Nobody gets something for nothing. When you squeeze every penny from fuel purchases you are choking out the service you take for granted and complain when you don't receive. Fuel prices ARE TERRIBLE, but shopping the FBO's out of business will leave you with the same no service suppliers at close to the current FBO prices after the FBO's are gone. When is the last time someone treated you like family at a self-service pump, loaned you a car, helped you with a problem, etc?

My experience is not what the previous have written. I flew my 1967 Mooney on August 18th from Dallas Addison as an Angel Flight to pick up the final leg to Dallas. The line crew at Mountain Home was very courteous. I had them fill my plane with a whopping 20 gallons with a discount for Angel Flight. I used the Internet, filed a flight plan. When I went to my plane with the Angel Flight passengers, no start- no battery. The line crew did everything they could to try to help me start, no dice. I had to drive to Dallas. A rental car with Hertz was arranged by the FBO for a reasonable price. The staff was always courteous and helpful to both my passengers and me. Ozark Airworks started work on my plane on Monday; ordered new battery and repaired a damaged starter. The work was excellent, professional and, again, for a fair price. My summary, professional businesses that are service oriented; service is supported by fees.

Poor service, bought fuel from them 07/21/2007, price 4.69 per gallon, ask why the airport was listed on AirNav.Com as 3.65 they said that they did not know what the price was at the self serve pump? You would think a company would know what their only competitor on field is charging? Paid for fuel and then discovered that they had no Internet connection for checking weather. Came to airport on return trip 6 days later to use self serve and get local subway sandwich, discovered that the main terminal to airport is fenced and locked up to avoid access to only place to eat located at front of small building, when attempting to access through FBO (the only entrance to field to return after 1/2 mile walk around, FBO attendant attempted to charge us for using their entry. Will not stop here again, price wars, politics or plain bad business, I can see why there needs to be someone else helping pilots with services.

Stopped there en route from Denton Texas to Manassas, Virginia. Having never been there before I only had AirNav to help find a suitable place to stop. Selected Ozark based on fuel price. Didn't know self-serve and Mountain Home FBO were not connected. Bought my fuel at the self-serve then walked over to the FBO for a bathroom break. Lot's of signs stating "if you don't buy our gas, don't use our facilities." Was very hot. My wife and I walked to the Subway, which requires you to leave the airport and walk about a half a mile around the perimeter. Folks who appeared to work at airport passed us coming and going. If there is a fuel war going on between the FBO and the self-serve refueler, get over it. I won't be stopping there again.
