Bartlesville does not have a taxi service any more, so if you need a free ride to a hotel overnight, the best deal is the Hotel Phillips at about $100 a night. They have a full restaurant for dinner and a free breakfast with eggs and meat, not just the typical bread and cereal. The hotel has a shuttle that will pick up and drop off at the airport for free.

My wife and I decided to have a $100 bar-b-que plate in Bartlesville. Called ahead to Phillips Aviation to see if we could get a courtesy car and of course we could. Was greeted on the ramp by a smiling young lady with chocks in her hand. We didn't need fuel as it is only 60NM to my home airport, but the courtesy was just the same. Had some of the best bar-b-que around at Dinks. If you are ever in the area and looking for fuel for you and your plane, give Phillips Aviation a try. You won't be sorry thanks to the friendly folks at Bartlesville!
