Also had a fuel pricing surprise, but it wasn't out of line with the rest of my trip. Landed at 3:30 on a Friday and it was a ghost town. FBO locked up and steady rain had me pinned in my plane. Sign said they would be there until five, but not this day. No courtesy car. Days Inn picked me up. The next morning I got a ride to town for a repair to a circuit breaker and was on my way. Nice people and a neat airport with multiple runways in a pretty spot. I rate it a 7.

I stopped by the Cairo airport to buy fuel on 30 April 2006. The listing on AirNav said the price of 3.15 was updated on April 26. In the FBO it said on the same date the price was raised to 3.45. I was very disappointed to pay 30 cents a gallon more when I could have gone to Alabama and paid less. I'm trying to support the little guys on my long cross country trips but they really need to stay on top of the little bit of information we have about them. It is a nice facility and the town looks very comfortable.

Great airport for fuel stop. 24 hour self serve pump worked great.
