I stopped overnight on 3/26 The folks were very helpful in assisting with hotel reservations and transportation. Good place to stop if you need a break on a long cross country.

Stopped twice for refuel. The people were great with a courtesy car (it has a lot of character). Very friendly with very good fuel prices. The airport is hard to get in and out of, with constant crosswinds and turbulance landing to the west.

I landed at Crossville due to weather on my route. I quickly found out that this airport has a challenging crosswind about 80% of the time. Even so, this place is worth visiting to meet the people. Hal Graham, the original rocket man call CSV home. He is a genuine piece of American aviation history. Mark, Chris, Mike, Rich and especially Lenny all made me feel right at home from the moment I landed. Do yourselves a favor and detour if needed to meet these great people. Practice your crosswind and support this wonderful group of American aviators. I will probably return for my IFR training soon.

Chris & Mark are the new FBO managers @ KCSV. They have the spirit & enthusiasm to make this a GREAT experience for all users. Given a little time, I predict a GREAT performance. Keep watching. Hal Graham Crossville, TN
