I stopped in for gas on June 6 and there was no one there. A local guy said the guy was out to lunch and should return at 1:00 and may or may not come back. I waited until 10 minutes after one and left, never to return. I called the guy, before departure, as I normally do, and he said nothing about shutting down for lunch. He said he'd be there. This is an example of places we should NOT patronize obviously he just doesn't care. I don't care if he gives gas away I'm not coming back... Well, maybe if he pays me I might consider......

A late comment. I landed at CXU on 4/8/06 after diverting for bad weather. Once on the ground I found a rod end connection on a main gear door on my PA-30 had broken. I can't remember the name of the young man running the place at the time but he amazingly found a used part for me that was an exact replacement. He installed it at no charge, and gave us a car to run to town for food. I bought fuel waited the storm out and we were on our way. There are good people in this world!

The airport has re-opened and the new runway extension is great. The people are as friendly as their low fuel prices are. Fly on down and give them a try.

Was just informed the Airport is closed for major runway repairs and should reopen in 60 days or so. Fuel did jump to 4.12. Can't wait to land on the new runway.

I flew in on the 23rd of April 2006 to visit my family on a Sunday. Camilla had the cheapest fuel around, but was closed. There was a number to call for fuel posted on the door and I called the number and I informed the individual that I needed some fuel, and he told me he’d be there in 20 minutes. Well he was at the airport in less than 20 minutes. He filled me up and was a very friendly guy! I will definitely make another stop there at Camilla when I fly to see my family again. It will be very soon too! The gas price at Camilla is the cheapest I've seen yet!!!
