We stop here every year on the way home from Sun n Fun, because of the great service. We usually arrive after hours, but a quick call to Mike ahead of time and the courtesy car is waiting for us. My Cessna is refueled before we return in the morning. Thanks Mike! The Best Western just down the street is a good deal. Clean, nice, includes breakfast and there is a fridge/microwave in the room. Grocery store and some fast food in walking distance. Outback and Applebee’s 5 minutes drive.

Stopped at Danville in a little R-22 on my way to TX and was greeted immediately by Mike and the line staff. They had me fueled up before I could get my bags out and on the golf cart they picked me up in. Lent me a car to get to the hotel. They were the nicest people I have dealt with in awhile.

Stopped at KDAN twice now in recent weeks to visit family in the area. Absolutely some of the nicest people I ever met at an FBO. The addition of a self-service fuel pump would make this stop an absolute dream. Still, very friendly and accommodating and they didn't charge me to tie-up over night. I will be back to be sure.

Flew N154GR into DAN for a weekend trip to a friend’s new NC house just south of Dan. Arrival on Friday around 5:45pm was perfect with an escort to parking and help getting tied down. Refueled as requested. On departure Sunday afternoon Mike was right there to take care of my wants or needs. Very friendly FBO. Cheetah N154GR will be back on the ramp there soon, by the way - no tied fees for transients.

Diverted for weather, I stopped at KDAN. Mike has to be the nicest guy I have met in a while. Offered me a car to go get breakfast even though my tanks were full. This is what customer service should be.

I would be remiss if I did not reach out and thank you. As always, it was a pleasure to stop in at Danville and reap the hospitality of your FBO "GENERAL AVIATION, INC". You and your staff are top notch.... Your focus is the customer; no matter how big or small the aircraft. Again, Thank You.

I just want to publicly say thank you to Mike Rembold at the FBO at Danville Airport. I flew in to Danville from Atlanta on a two-day business trip and was going to be arriving after they closed on a Sunday night. I contacted Unicom and Mike said he would leave a rental car for me at the FBO and I could come by the next day with my credit card info. When I arrived everything was just as Mike had said. Mike Thank you again. Great FBO, nice people, great airport.

To Gary Mahler... Read the AFD: GCO is 122.2 and has been here for years. I've been flying out of DAN for 33 years and Mike is tops at the FBO.

Call about fuel prices before you go, they listed $3.85 and charged me $4.05. Nice airport and facility though, No GCO and unable to contact center on the ground for clearance.

5-10-06 Flew in to DAN yesterday on an Angel Flight. Facility is clean, well staffed and has pilot lounge and weather facilities available. Runways are in very good shape. The staff was kind enough to grant a .25 per gallon discount of gas for Angel Flight, without my asking. All in all, a nice place to visit.

Stopped by yesterday for business and was met by Mike. I agree, the nicest FBO guy you'll find anywhere. He led me to the right people at the airport and they were equally nice, too. Thanks Mike, Mark, Lisa and Eric for your help. Hopefully, we can work together in the future.

Stopped for fuel on a trip from Boston area to Pensacola. Good service; the lineman was familiar with MU-2's and had us on our way quickly. This is a nice, un-congested airport with good approaches. The FBO is clean and has computer, etc. I will definitely stop here again.

A fantastic FBO experience. Had an unplanned overnight stay in Danville and Mike (who runs General Aviation, Inc.) recommended a hotel and a restaurant, dropped us off at the hotel and picked us up the next morning. He and others also helped get our plane ready after getting covered with frost during the night. All this service for buying only 23 gallons of fuel at a great price. Highly recommended.

Great stop in all respects. Dropped in today for lunch, after discovering the the FBO and Runway Cafe at Martinsville Blue Ridge (MTV) was closed on Labor Day (?!) Used the crew car to grab lunch, although several fast food outlets are at the airport boundary -- about a quarter mile walk from the FBO.
