Delano is a great place to stop, buy fuel and eat. Fuel was $5.40 as advertised, but the receipt that came out of the self-serve machine had run out of ink and the receipt could not be read. No biggie. The city of Delano keeps the airport terminal nice and clean and has done a nice job of keeping the airport available for use and friendly.

Nice clean airport, terminal, restrooms, flight computer, coffee pot. Seemed kind of slow but it was a Wednesday morning; all in all, good stop. Didn't try Delfin's, but the reports are positive in the past.

Lost brakes on landing for a refuel at Delano. Ben Diaz with Diaz Aircraft Service came in on a Sunday and assessed the problem. Aircraft fixed next day. Extremely competent, easy to work with and fair. Am considering flying from KCRQ to Diaz for my annual. This guy is great.

Was at Delano about a month ago to pick up a friend. A quiet airport but easy SS fuel. The pumps worked properly but no receipt. The airport office was able to generate one very easily on their computer, so really no problem. Mexican restaurant across from the terminal is good authentic Mexican food. A good food & fuel stop if transiting the Central Valley.
