Stopped at Deming as a precaution for high oil temp and to top off the tanks enroute to Texas. Speedy service as the fuel truck was already pulling up to the plane as we were climbing out. 3 British helo's were right behind us going from El Centro, CA to Houston, TX and the 2 man show was able to fuel us up and park the helo's at the same time. We didn't leave the airport but because the helo guys bought so much gas, they were offering them up some complimentary mexican food. Just thought that was pretty awesome. Great service guys. Stop in if you have the chance.

Great overnight stop on a cross-country ferry flight. Crew car was truly an American classic, but we were happy to have it. We stayed at the Grand Hotel and ate at the Meridor and had a very nice time. Thank you Deming!

Stopped in for fuel in our Bonanza on the way to the Reno Air Races from Texas. Very quick and friendly service with a good fuel price. We'll definitely stop here again.

Came back here again after two months to base out of as I was exploring this region of New Mexico... You just can't beat Deming and this FBO. Oh, I spent 3 nights at the Grand Motel. $40 per night. I had 2 rooms because I left on an adventure and came back. This was my 5th stay at the Grand in 4 years. I've always had a super clean room, peaceful sleep on a comfortable bed. And, WOW, that restaurant staff. (I told the manager the guy who made my meals was part cook - part magician. Meals are prepared quickly, they were delightful and priced right. The locals eat here and for good reason. Sit at Marci's table and you'll get blazing fast and good service. AND THE BONUS... The Grand Motel will pick you up at the airport! John was super at running me back in the morning and picking me up in the after for 3 days...

On a coast-to-coast ferry in a Cessna 206 I stopped at Desert Aviation in Deming for fuel. When I arrived at Tucson my next stop I found out that Desert Aviation called US Customs asking them to inspect my C206. I am at a loss as to why!
Response from Bob Benavidez, Desert Aviation We do stay vigilant for illegal activity coming through our airport here in Deming but did NOT report your aircraft to U S Customs. There was a U S Customs pilot on the ground that made that report.

Deming is a great stop. The FBO treats you with respect, there are good and reasonable hotels nearby that will pick you up and won't rob your wallet and you'll find all sorts of good places to eat. I've landed here several times and have yet failed to meet a sourpuss at the airport or in town. This place is a Retro adventure and nostalgia at it's best. You'll like Deming! 5 Stars!

Stop here often for fuel. Best prices in 100-mile area. Two-man operation keeps costs down but the service is great!

Stopped for gas enroute to Texas. Tony from Desert Aviation pulled up in the fuel truck before we were out of the airplane. Facilities are a bit worn but that sort of goes with the rest of the airport. Access to computer weather was great. Thanks a lot!

Stayed overnight in Deming. Desert Aviation helped us contact the Holiday Inn who picked us up and brought us back to the airport the next morning. When you land at Deming, be sure to go to the north ramp. The south ramp is like a step back in time.

Service at Deming was fast and efficient; the reserved rental car was clean and ready to go. I had a starter problem and Tony located an A&P and got it quickly resolved. There is a nice discount on fuel and rental cars for cash. This is not advertised, so ask if it is still in effect and have cash ready. If you are crew waiting in Deming or on vacation, check out the Luna Mimbres Museum, it is a treasure. I wish all FBO's were this good.

Great fuel stop. I was on my way from San Diego to San Antonio both ways. Less than 10 minutes on the ground both ways. Very prompt and courteous, with a free sandwich to keep the blood sugar up.

Landed here on 4-25 twice. FBO was friendly and allowed me to use their courtesy van for a 5-mile trip to El Mirador cafe where I had some exceptionally delightful tacos... At first glance, the cafe makes you think twice about stopping but sure enough, the FBO was right. El Mirador has some talented cooks! Came back to Deming after trying to bed down for the night in Silver City... Didn't like the experience I had at the airport in Silver City (Hurley, NM) and I'm glad I went back to Deming. FBO called GRAND motel and they came out to pick me up. The room was $38 a night and I was pleasantly surprised. Nice and clean and quiet... And I ate twice at the restaurant in the motel and the food was wonderful. The city of Deming was a great diversion, like stepping back in time when the world was at a slower less hectic pace. When I win the Lottery, I'm buying land here! Great weather, wonderful scenic views, fabulous Mexican food and easy slow pace of life!

On the way from Texas to California, landed at DMN on Sunday just before 6pm closing of Desert Aviation. Lineman let us take courtesy car into town for dinner at local steakhouse, and he stayed 1 hour late until we returned. I didn’t realize he was going to wait on us, so I felt bad. Family was tired, so we decided to spend the night, he let us keep the car overnight and suggested a nice Comfort Inn. Had a nice conversation with the mechanic/manager Monday morning prior to departure. He has owned a lot of C210's and currently flies a C310. They really know C210's, different models, mods, etc there. If I ever had a mechanical difficulty with my T210 in the vicinity, they could handle the task. Overall a very pleasant place to stop for fuel or overnight. Great fuel prices also!

I've been through DMN about three times now, and every visit has been great. On this last visit my arrival coincided with the landings of military choppers. Tony, from Desert Aviation saw the dust being blow up towards my plane from the rotor wash, and he immediately parked their fuel truck between my plane and the helos. His quick thinking and clear demonstration of good customer service will always ensure my loyalty to them...I know if I ever fly from Texas to CA I will make a point of stopping at DMN for fuel and service. Thanks Tony!

What a great place! Stopped for fuel on a cross-country flight. The fuel truck was there before we had opened the door. When we asked about food from the vending machine, the person working quickly fixed us hamburgers -- free! Excellent service and friendly folks.

Awesome service!!! Came in and was met with the fuel truck, a smile and a "is there anything we can do for you?". Great FBO. Had our Citation fueled, the passengers happy, great price and service and on our way. This is the best stop along the southern part of NM or AZ. We were going to fuel up in Phoenix area and continue to Van Nuys. PHX ATC is terrible about keeping west traffic to Los Angeles low. We were off and cleared direct to FL430 and over everyone in Phoenix. Thanks again. We will be back.

Diverted here around a monster CB cell. Wasn't sure where to stand so as not to get hit by lighting...The tarmac or the metal FBO. Stuck overnight...Cheap motels (with internet), cheap food, and the classic of courtesy vans..The 1979 Econoline...Good service and sympathy and a harmless one nighter.

Stopped after a long day of flying. Had a good experience with Desert Aviation. Line person "Tony" was very helpful. Called the Holiday Inn for me. Met FBO owner, nice guy. Holiday Inn picked me up at the airport and returned me the next morning. Ate dinner at the Holiday Inn and was good and very reasonable.

The guys at the FBO are fantastic. I stopped there on 2/21/07 on my way to Texas and they were ready with the fuel truck and they had very clean facilities. On the return trip, we were grounded there due to very high winds; they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. This is a great FBO and we really enjoyed Deming.

Deming is a great technical stop! The airport is a cool former WWII training base, with some of the original hangars still standing. The FBO is clean and has courteous, fast service, even on a Sunday afternoon. Deming had the least expensive gas on our trip to California and back.
