Flew into Metro to pick up my wife. Heavy storms kept all a/c grounded. I have a Piper Archer and asked to shelter the a/c. They don't support small aircraft and I had to push my tow bar to put the plane in the hangar. The next morning they charged me $150. A bit steep.

The people were kind, took care of me great. Made sure the pax were taken care of and made sure they had the rental cars ready. However, they do not have a water truck, took them 2 hours to borrow someone else's. 2 of their fuel trucks were broken down and caused a small delay. They also have a relatively small ramp; I would avoid the busy days. Other then the lack of proper equipment there services were fantastic.

Company Duke dropped me for airline flight, friendly front desk staff, Stacy/Tracy (?) immediately got us logged in, got van, taking my luggage behind her, and dropped me in front of departures at terminal. While a Beech Duke is not a Gulf Stream V, we were treated as if we arrived in the latter. Look forward to returning.

DTW is busy but the controllers had no problem mixing in the Cirrus. Metro FBO is a little hard to find - some issue with the county and signs (it's right by the end of 21R). I used the back room for a daylong meeting - wireless Internet available. They baked cookies too! Not a flashy facility but well outfit, nice people and reasonable service. 20gals of fuel waives fees.
