Went to EEN on a pleasure flight Saturday. Car rental (AVIS) available must make reservations prior to arrival. Tim at the FBO gave me the number to call for AVIS (don't use the website, also phone # wrong online) - reserved at 10am in the morning, arrived at the airport at 1pm, drove off shortly thereafter. Since the FBO closes at 5pm, I had to return the car before then. Very scenic and laid-back airport.

Stopped due to weather mid morning on May 31. Self serve pumps worked fine, and the local FBO had the New England approach plates and charts I needed to continue. Country Kitchen restaurant on the east side of the field was very convenient, with good food and fast service. Restaurant is just outside the airport fence, about fifty yards from the flight line.

Be aware, if on a business flight you will be charged $50, regardless of aircraft type, precarious facilities, negligent service and the person at the front desk unwilling with a poor attitude.

The airport is generally in good shape but there are a few large transverse cracks in the taxiways where the pavement has shrunk in the winter.
