This is my home airport. It is an unattended airport. There are no services here, other than self serve 100LL. The fuel pump is not marked, but it is obvious at the exit from the runway. The fuel is provide by the county and they won't install a sign to post prices. Frequently, the printer is out of paper. As for the price difference, the county charges for the fuel based on the purchase price of each truckload of delivered fuel. The fuel use here is less than in Eureka, so depending on the speed of price changes, fuel at FOT can be quite a bit different, either less or more than Eureka or Arcata. The note about only getting $50 per transaction was a problem with the fuel company computer, not the local. It was an unusual occurrence. There is a pay phone, bathroom and soda machine at the old FBO building near the fuel pump. The door code is the emergency frequency-1215. FOT is frequently the only airport in the area not fogged in during the summer.

FOT is sometimes accessible when EKA is IFR. There is no sign displaying the fuel price, and I got hosed! There is NO restaurant on the field. I would reccommend The Rusty Hangar over at Murray. Gas is cheaper there too!
