GREAT SERVICE...Lost my keys on a recent trip to Fullerton...Bill Griggs Sr. (The Owner) personally walked me to my 182 with a ring of Cessna keys he had collected over the years to try to help me. Also gave me good advice about never forgetting we are precious cargo when flying. Won't forget him or the service. AFI is great!

Stopped in for a couple of days to visit Disney. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. Check out the amazing collection of model aircraft hanging from ceiling in FBO.

Stopped in at AFI on 3/17. I was met at the gas pump and the staff pumped my fuel at the self serve price. Staff was helpful, kind and friendly. I would highly recommend this FBO.

We were greeted at the fuel dock and fueled by a member of AFI, then escorted to their tie down area in less than ten minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful. Fuel was $4.75 and tie down fee was waived. A cab was waiting to whisk us to Disneyland for $20. We'll be back.

I flew into Fullerton for a week at Disney with my family. I can't say enough about the service and staff at AFI, except that they are what every FBO should strive to emulate. Exceptionally low fuel prices and tremendous service certainly set them apart. We'll be back.

EXCELLENT FBO!! My family and I flew into Fullerton and parked at AFI during our stay at Disneyland. The rental car we had arranged was waiting for us when we arrived. The employees were very courteous and professional in addition to the facility being clean and organized. Both Bill Griggs, Jr and Sr greeted us and made us feel welcome. Overall, AFI is one of the best FBOs I've encountered and will make a point of using their services whenever I'm at KFUL. Thanks!!

I called AFI to reserve a rental car. When I arrived at FUL and pulled up to the BP pump I was met by a courteous young man who offered to top my tanks while I checked on the rental car. They helped move the AC to a tie down and carried my luggage to the rental car. They gave me the SS price on fuel and free overnight parking. All and all a very pleasant experience.

Some of the nicest folks you like to meet can be found at AFI; a true family owned and operated business run by Bill Griggs Sr. And Jr. They run a terrific flight school and provide competitively priced fuel, charts, books, and tie-downs and have an excellent rental fleet. In the middle of my flight training I acquired a 1956 182. Bill Jr. was very helpful and went above the call of duty in making sure that my plane was in excellent condition. Bill Sr. Is a consummate senior flyer with years of wisdom that he is always happy to share when asked. These folks truly love flying. Not only is AFI a terrific FBO, but also KFUL is an excellent class Delta airport to visit for lunch or the monthly historical aircraft display on the second Sunday of each month. KFUL is conveniently located in the LA basin, close to Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Newport Beach and many other attractions. KFUL enjoys excellent weather as and is often VFR when the costal airports are IFR only.

My first time in my B58 into the LA area. The ramp was crowded but they found me a spot for a few days. Nice people and an instructor in the office helped me figure out how to transition over to Santa Monica-KSAN, as it’s a busy area. They fueled the plane at the SS pump, which is really full serve. Rental car was there on time. Their fuel price is very fair and even one of the owners was out on the ramp helping out. I like to see that. I would recommend them to anyone.

My family and I arrived on 7/5. I pulled up to self-serve pumps. Immediately they pumped the gas for me and directed me to a close by tie-down with no nightly parking fees. My rental car was delivered to a different FBO, but Bill Griggs, one of the owners, rushed over and delivered the car to me within minutes of my arrival. We felt very welcomed and will use these guys and KFUL for my future visits to L.A. Area.

After reading the reviews here I looked forward to using AFI on a business trip Saturday 6/30 and 7/1. I was sorely disappointed...No marshaller, walked to the office, rental car person didn't have a clue how to rent a car (the paper work was ready for her) and I was directed to the wrong parking area...Fuel was very expensive! What happened?

A+ I have been into FUL many times and always use AFI. There is always someone to help with luggage and kids as well as pump fuel at the "self serve" island. When I land I simply taxi up to the self serve island and they pretty much treat me like a VIP from there. The fuel prices on the island are by far the best in SoCal and even cheaper than my own base price in KPVU (thanks to Million Air). I have had experience with many of the staff at AFI as well as Mr. Griggs - all top notch. Getting in and out of the busy airspace is no trouble and the controllers in the tower are cooperative and easy to work with. I could fly into J. Wayne where I would be closer but they do not even know who you are in a smaller plane (A36) at AFI, I feel like a rock star. Thanks to all the staff at AFI, keep up the good work.

Our Beech Aero Club spent last weekend at Fullerton airport. AFI allowed us to us their facility for our meetings, and even provided a "Wings" presentation by one of their CFI's regarding flying in the LA basin. Bill Sr. is one very nice guy. I recommend AFI to anyone visiting the LA basin they are great.

Great FBO. They had our rental car waiting for us and helped carry our bags to the car upon arrival. Good fuel prices, they actually fueled the plane for us at the fuel island at the "self serve" price. Gave helpful advice on navigating local airspace. Very refreshing after spending 3 days in long lines at Disneyland. A++ Highly Recommend!

My family and I arrived on a Saturday at 6:50 am. By 7:00 am there was already someone out putting gas in the plane.... After fueling and getting into the FBO the cab was already waiting. Not only is this the closest airport to Disneyland, but also the greatest FBO ever. It really is the happiest place on earth!!!

Wow. What an outstanding FBO. Bill Jr, Bill Sr and Larry all went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. This is the only place to go if you want great service and easy access to Disneyland.

We have been flying our Saratoga into KFUL as well as many other LA area airports regularly for the past two years. AFI has consistently been one of the top FBO's, anywhere. The line staff, counter staff and the owners themselves are cordial, efficient and helpful. Fuel is always reasonable, and as others have pointed out, they quickly pump the self-serve for you. The rental car is always there and ready; and the pilot shop is great for whatever I need (or forget). These guys should write a book on how to run an excellent FBO!

Again, AFI does a great job. Even though we come into Fullerton in King Airs, and clearly "cramp their ramp", they are great to us. We have been in overnight at least a dozen times, and they are very accommodating and friendly. They also save us $150 a night tie down fee VS John Wayne airport! Thanks AFI!

The comments are all true! Fantastic service. Pulled up to the self-serve and they were fueling the plane @ self-serve prices before I could even get out. They said just leave it there & they would take care of parking the plane for us. The rental car was all ready to go and we were on our way to Disneyland within 20 minutes of shutting down. Thanks!

Ritz Carlton service at Fullerton. The folks at AFI are absolutely fabulous!!! I taxied up to the self-serve pump and they filled her up for me at self-serve prices. They even hand pushed the plane away from the pump and parked the plane for us and offered us a meeting room to meet a business partner! Really nice folks, father and son business the way a successful business used to be run in the old days! Forget the cookies and lollipops, they know how to take care of people the old fashioned sincere way. I was so pleased, I found every reason I could to spend some money at their Aviation shop!

I want to echo everything positive previously posted about AFI. Friendly and affordable. Self-serve really isn't. Both times I was there a lineman was pumping gas before I could. It's the FBO you have always hoped for, small-town friendliness, fuel price and service with big-city inventory and location. AFI makes FUL a much better stop or overnight destination than the other airports in the area.

After the third or fourth visit, experience suggests that the perfect, and I mean PERFECT service at AFI just has to slip a little; except it doesn't! AFI is, without a doubt, my favorite FBO.

Just want to add my 2-cents to the comments below by saying that the folks at AFI "saved" our honeymoon trip on three occasions during our weeklong trip: we arrived at FUL well after our planned ETA, but the owner (Bill) waited for us 3 hours after closing on a Sunday evening to make sure we got our rental car. Then, AFI coordinated with our home FBO to update the expired GPS database in our rented Diamond Star while we were busy visiting Disneyland (for free, no less). Lastly, after our pre-departure run-up revealed a bad spark plug, Larry and the AFI mechanics turned us around with a new set of plugs in under an hour. Friendly, efficient service all around--these guys will go out of their way to make sure you have an enjoyable stay.

AFI was a good place to leave the airplane for several days. All the staff was friendly. I have usually used Jetsource at CRQ and Signature at SNA; however, double the money isn’t worth it even if I have to carry all the bags. There was no parking charge. I only purchased 30 gallons of fuel. Only negatives are the short runway and the amount of rocks on the ramp. The entire airport could use a good sweeping. I will use them again.

I can't say enough good things about this FBO. I've been using them for many years as they are the closest to Disneyland and provide top quality service. Bill Griggs is first class and goes out of his way to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable. Recently, I was getting ready to depart when I reailized I have inadvertently bumped my overhead light and drained my battery. Bill jumped my plane from his personal truck and sold me fuel off the truck at the self-service rate to prevent me from having to shut down at the fuel pumps. First rate. Scott 231LV

AFI might just be the best FBO in the nation. These guys are unbelievable! After I taxied up to the BP self-serve pump two of their staff fueled my plane (at the self price) and parked it right next to their building. My rental car was 10 steps outside their front door and they passed me a couple of bottles of ice water as I headed out for Disneyland. When I returned 2 days later and tried to pay for parking, they just smiled, told me to forget it, and pulled my plane out for me. I don't think G-IV crews get treated this well at Signature! GA would be doing a lot better if we had more FBO's like AFI. You MUST stop here to believe it!

I recently stayed at AFI for three nights. They kindly comp'ed me on my stay for topping my tanks. And to boot, when I left my a/c keys at the hotel, Bill (the owner) drove me back to retrieve them. Outstanding service! Thank you Bill.

I had a 5-day trip to KFUL. I had called ahead. When I arrived the rental car was waiting. Good parking and overall excellent service from everyone at AFI. Definitely a good place to stop.

Flew in a few days ago from San Jose for a quick stop to pick up some parts from a supplier to our company. The owner offered to drive me the 10 miles to the supplier, wait for me and drive me back. He declined my offer to buy lunch on the way back. I enjoyed talking to him about his 40 years running the business and even after those 40 years you can tell he still enjoys it. This is a first class operation, run by great folks who care about service. Needless to say, whenever I am in the area, I will be back. These types of FBO's have earned and deserve our support!

We taxied right to the BP pump and AFI fueled us and even parked the plane! After 3 long days in Disneyland with the kid's they brought around a pickup truck and delivered our luggage to transient. Yup, we'll be back. A++++ service.

AFI treats piston aircraft pilots the way the major FBOs treat their big jet customers. They meet you on arrival, pump fuel for you at the 'self serve' pump, help you with car or taxi arrangements and even give you good advise on navigating the LAX class B airspace on departure. If you like friendly and excellent service, this is the place.
