We feel privileged that we have had the opportunity to be in business at the Fullerton Airport for over 40 years. We have trained several thousand pilots; many of these have gone on to fly for the airlines, achieving a life-long dream. Others have continued to fly "real airplanes" in personal and business flights with family and friends.

Great FBO. Tied down with AFi for week during October for Disney trip with wife and kids. Arrived late, provided help with a taxi pick up. Upon departure, owner personally took our full load of bags, car seats, etc to the Mooney, which was fueled-up and ready to go. See you in 2010....

Fantastic service. Stopped in for fuel and the lineman was exceedingly helpful and friendly. Nice facilities, free cold water, convenient parking near the terminal and restaurant.

Again! AFI and its employees have lived up to their stellar reputation for providing service and taking an interest in their customers. After every visit to AFI, I find myself bringing some of their work ethic home for my customers. If they don't watch out, I will make AFI my primary reason for flying to Fullerton instead of Disneyland!

I've had the pleasure of flying into Fullerton twice and each time I was well served by AFI. On each occasion the rental car was waiting and AFI staff went out of their way including staying late. In each case I had minor mechanical issues for which I needed tools which AFI staff gladly lent. AFI staff clearly understands the importance of and deliver great customer service.

I would like to thank AFI Flight Training Center at the Fullerton airport for the great service and help on my recent trip to the Fullerton airport. I found the hospitality and service to be excellent and more than anyone could expect. Arriving for the first time into Fullerton I was met by Larry and guided to a parking space (no cost for parking). He called for a ramp vehicle and quickly got our bags loaded, Katrina called a taxi and we were off to Disneyland. After a great week at Disneyland we returned to our plane to find a dead battery. Larry put it on his charger (no cost to charge the battery) and shortly thereafter it was in the plane ready to go. We were treated to full fueling services at the self-service island, not only that, but Larry waited by the plane to make sure the engines started. I strongly recommend, that if you have a chance to visit the area, you patronize AFI Flight Training Center, you will leave there smiling all the way home.

Best service I can remember in a long time. They fueled us, helped unload, guided me to a free parking spot, gave my kid a Popsicle and had already called for a taxi before I was even inside the building. We were on our way in record time! As the Governator would say ... "I'll be baaaack!"

Great FBO. We arrived on June 27th in our Arrow for a visit to Disneyland. Upon arrival, we taxied up to the fuel pumps and were met by the line folks. They fueled the plane and directed me to a free tie down for a few days. They helped unload the plane and load the rental car. We dropped the car off early and they called a cab to take us back to the hotel. We departed on July 1, VFR up the coast. One of the CFI's showed me a direct route out and how to deal with traffic. Every one went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. I'll go to AFI again, and anyone visiting SoCal should use KFUL and AFI. NO place else compares. Thanks to all.

AFI is a great FBO. They provided free popsicles for the kids and cold H2O for all. AFI arranged for rental car and as usual fuel the tanks at the self-serve pump with a smile. Thanks AFI for a great Disneyland stay!! Note for A36TAT owners. We departed R24 full gross, 88F, ~2-3kt headwinds, using short field technique wheels up 1900ft, cleared 50ft at ~26000ft. Tower was kind and very helpful and coordinated SoCal squawk for flight following before departure. Thanks KFUL we'll be back!

I am so grateful for AFI and their cheerful helpful service. Larry kindly helped me diagnose a problem with my engine. We arrived after hours but a very pleasant helpful young man helped us get our rental car. I've been to AFI twice and will go out of my way to use their service again!

We had an excellent experience with AFI. Easy parking assisted fueling and prompt handling of our Enterprise car rental. Disneyland is about a 15-minute drive and the costs at FUL are substantially less than SNA, with very light airport traffic. We'll definitely use FUL and AFI when we're in the area again.

Was in SoCal the month of Jan. 2009 and the staff at AFI were very friendly and professional. They let me park in the guest parking for an extended period as long as I was buying there fuel. Very good people and I'm already looking forward to my trip down south again. Also, being that I'm from Idaho and don't fly into controlled airspace much, I found flying into Fullerton a breeze and the tower was very friendly and helpful!!

Good service. Easy in, easy out via IFR. Note that when filing to or from the east; consider making SLI VOR your final waypoint. Most clearances seem to include it, and you'll be routed there anyway.

We flew in on New Year's Day 2009 and were greeted with a smile by the helpful front desk staff. Our Enterprise rental car ($40/day) was waiting for us. Be warned that the tiedown fees have jumped from $7/night (for a single) to $11/night -- but this isn't AFI's fault, it's the local airport authority. Anyhow, AFI is a great FBO and we certainly will go back.

Flew the family down from San Francisco to LA this week in a P35 Bonanza to visit Disneyland. Chose AFI at Fullerton because of the positive reviews and self serve fuel price of $4. Both were accurate. The gentlemen at AFI were very accommodating to our young girls, 5 & 8 and gave them popsicles, which kept them entertained as I unpacked the plane. Called us a cab straight away. Chief pilot friendly and helpful advising how to depart the area VFR under SVFR. Very nice people. Perfect choice for Disneyland visits. Would go there again.

I cannot speak highly enough about AFI. They treated us like honored guests - arranged parking - fuel at a VERY competitive price and made sure that everything was perfect. Great service in an old fashion way. Fullerton is lucky to have an FBO like AFI on the field. Looking forward to my next visit.

GREAT SERVICE...Lost my keys on a recent trip to Fullerton...Bill Griggs Sr. (The Owner) personally walked me to my 182 with a ring of Cessna keys he had collected over the years to try to help me. Also gave me good advice about never forgetting we are precious cargo when flying. Won't forget him or the service. AFI is great!

Stopped in at AFI on 3/17. I was met at the gas pump and the staff pumped my fuel at the self serve price. Staff was helpful, kind and friendly. I would highly recommend this FBO.

We were greeted at the fuel dock and fueled by a member of AFI, then escorted to their tie down area in less than ten minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful. Fuel was $4.75 and tie down fee was waived. A cab was waiting to whisk us to Disneyland for $20. We'll be back.

I flew into Fullerton for a week at Disney with my family. I can't say enough about the service and staff at AFI, except that they are what every FBO should strive to emulate. Exceptionally low fuel prices and tremendous service certainly set them apart. We'll be back.

EXCELLENT FBO!! My family and I flew into Fullerton and parked at AFI during our stay at Disneyland. The rental car we had arranged was waiting for us when we arrived. The employees were very courteous and professional in addition to the facility being clean and organized. Both Bill Griggs, Jr and Sr greeted us and made us feel welcome. Overall, AFI is one of the best FBOs I've encountered and will make a point of using their services whenever I'm at KFUL. Thanks!!

I called AFI to reserve a rental car. When I arrived at FUL and pulled up to the BP pump I was met by a courteous young man who offered to top my tanks while I checked on the rental car. They helped move the AC to a tie down and carried my luggage to the rental car. They gave me the SS price on fuel and free overnight parking. All and all a very pleasant experience.

Some of the nicest folks you like to meet can be found at AFI; a true family owned and operated business run by Bill Griggs Sr. And Jr. They run a terrific flight school and provide competitively priced fuel, charts, books, and tie-downs and have an excellent rental fleet. In the middle of my flight training I acquired a 1956 182. Bill Jr. was very helpful and went above the call of duty in making sure that my plane was in excellent condition. Bill Sr. Is a consummate senior flyer with years of wisdom that he is always happy to share when asked. These folks truly love flying. Not only is AFI a terrific FBO, but also KFUL is an excellent class Delta airport to visit for lunch or the monthly historical aircraft display on the second Sunday of each month. KFUL is conveniently located in the LA basin, close to Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Newport Beach and many other attractions. KFUL enjoys excellent weather as and is often VFR when the costal airports are IFR only.

My first time in my B58 into the LA area. The ramp was crowded but they found me a spot for a few days. Nice people and an instructor in the office helped me figure out how to transition over to Santa Monica-KSAN, as it’s a busy area. They fueled the plane at the SS pump, which is really full serve. Rental car was there on time. Their fuel price is very fair and even one of the owners was out on the ramp helping out. I like to see that. I would recommend them to anyone.

My family and I arrived on 7/5. I pulled up to self-serve pumps. Immediately they pumped the gas for me and directed me to a close by tie-down with no nightly parking fees. My rental car was delivered to a different FBO, but Bill Griggs, one of the owners, rushed over and delivered the car to me within minutes of my arrival. We felt very welcomed and will use these guys and KFUL for my future visits to L.A. Area.

After reading the reviews here I looked forward to using AFI on a business trip Saturday 6/30 and 7/1. I was sorely disappointed...No marshaller, walked to the office, rental car person didn't have a clue how to rent a car (the paper work was ready for her) and I was directed to the wrong parking area...Fuel was very expensive! What happened?

A+ I have been into FUL many times and always use AFI. There is always someone to help with luggage and kids as well as pump fuel at the "self serve" island. When I land I simply taxi up to the self serve island and they pretty much treat me like a VIP from there. The fuel prices on the island are by far the best in SoCal and even cheaper than my own base price in KPVU (thanks to Million Air). I have had experience with many of the staff at AFI as well as Mr. Griggs - all top notch. Getting in and out of the busy airspace is no trouble and the controllers in the tower are cooperative and easy to work with. I could fly into J. Wayne where I would be closer but they do not even know who you are in a smaller plane (A36) at AFI, I feel like a rock star. Thanks to all the staff at AFI, keep up the good work.

Our Beech Aero Club spent last weekend at Fullerton airport. AFI allowed us to us their facility for our meetings, and even provided a "Wings" presentation by one of their CFI's regarding flying in the LA basin. Bill Sr. is one very nice guy. I recommend AFI to anyone visiting the LA basin they are great.

Great FBO. They had our rental car waiting for us and helped carry our bags to the car upon arrival. Good fuel prices, they actually fueled the plane for us at the fuel island at the "self serve" price. Gave helpful advice on navigating local airspace. Very refreshing after spending 3 days in long lines at Disneyland. A++ Highly Recommend!

My family and I arrived on a Saturday at 6:50 am. By 7:00 am there was already someone out putting gas in the plane.... After fueling and getting into the FBO the cab was already waiting. Not only is this the closest airport to Disneyland, but also the greatest FBO ever. It really is the happiest place on earth!!!

We have been flying our Saratoga into KFUL as well as many other LA area airports regularly for the past two years. AFI has consistently been one of the top FBO's, anywhere. The line staff, counter staff and the owners themselves are cordial, efficient and helpful. Fuel is always reasonable, and as others have pointed out, they quickly pump the self-serve for you. The rental car is always there and ready; and the pilot shop is great for whatever I need (or forget). These guys should write a book on how to run an excellent FBO!
