Flew in on April 21st on a ferry flight. I got in 2 hours after they closed, but everyone was still there and more than happy to help. They let me take the crew van to the hotel, which was a lot of help. Nice facilities, too.

I operated out of GLW earlier in 2007 for a Park Service Fire Contract working in the Mammoth Cave NP. Glasgow Aviation did EVERYTHING within their power to make our stay comfortable. They gave us access to their copier, fax, pilot lounge, and vehicle. They even allowed us use of their hangar one day. I highly recommend them.

Great experience! I called ahead to check on their crew car and it was ready and waiting so I could attend a funeral. Wow, from plane to car in under five minutes is very cool! They fueled me up while I was gone and had my C172S all set to go. Very friendly folks run this FBO with a positive customer service outlook that is missing in larger corporate type operations (I.E. Signature, etc). They even have an old time coke vending machine that has glass bottle cold cokes! Computer and phones available for flight planning, comfortable pilot lounge, and nice clean restrooms all make this a GO in my book! Thanx again!!!

Nice airport but FBO not very well run. AWOS out, no one answered Unicom. Landed anyway and wasn't treated near as well as the 2 Lear Jets blocking the fuel pumps! The sad part is they were just sitting there waiting for pax not scheduled to arrive at airport for another hour. If I weren’t low on fuel I would have left and went elsewhere.

Response from Ed Begley, Glasgow Aviation
Kevin-I take exception to your comment. The Lear 60's were too heavy too move with our tug. It would have been ridiculous to ask them to spool up their engines to move a few feet. There was still room to fuel. I believe we loaned you a car as well. So many small airports cannot even retain a FBO these days. Financially it's almost impossible. We've been able to stay in business(without government subsidy) as the FBO at GLW for 24 years so I guess we must be running the place pretty good.

Nice Facility. Provided great service when I had a problem that required some sheet metal work. Friendly, helpful staff.
