I have been an Aviation Adventures customer for some time. I have used other flight schools, which were fine, but if you are looking around and have flow in the DC area for a while, you will quickly come to the conclusion that the Aviation Adventures fleet is the best-equipped instruction and rental fleet in the DC area. Almost all of their instruction aircraft are equipped with GPS and most are IFR certified. With professional office locations at both HEF and JYO a checkout at one location gives you flexible access to their fleet of well-maintained aircraft at both locations. This does not even address the top-notch instruction (e.G. Nathan, Roger, Josh and others). I just completed my IFR rating with Aviation Adventures, completed a G1000 transition in the Cessna 172 and am looking forward to other challenges, such as their turbo Cessna 182, complex endorsement or possibly a commercial pilot certificate. I highly recommend Aviation Adventures for both aircraft rental and instruction.

I trained here for my Private Cert and am now working on my instrument rating. They have a nice fleet of Cessna’s, Pipers and Diamonds; easy on-line scheduling; nice new offices; and first-rate instructors. I highly recommend them for any level of flight training. They emphasize "real world" training-- like soft field landing practice on a grass strip. I was more than well prepared for my first solo, check ride, and for navigating the ADIZ. Flying on my own is more rewarding and satisfying because I know that I've received the best training that I could get. Look them up if you are in Manassas.
