This was my first time flying my personal aircraft to East Hampton Airport. I work at one of the busiest FBO in the country as a career, so it is a nice change to find a place that still offers personal service. We arrived after the FBO officially closed, but were still treated like we were prime-time G-5 pilots. The manager even gave us a ride into town to save us money on a cab. After dinner, we headed back to the airport to depart and that same manager was on site for a late arriving helicopter. Even though it was around 10:30, misty and cold, he fired up the fuel truck and topped off my plane. Now that is service if you ask me! This FBO is a must for anyone visiting the Hampton's by air!

I'm a student at Daniel Webster College and I made HTO a stop on a 6 hour XC. The line staff was friendly and accommodating. I was there about an hour and had to pay a $7 landing fee to the town, and a $10 ramp fee to Sound Aircraft.

Great place to fly specially for a student pilot like me. I will gladly suggest them for fueling they chock my plane and even direct me to a parking spot.

Flew in to KHTO on Aug 6th. Spent one night. Line service was good. The two boys quickly tied down the airplane. The overnight fee was $40.00. This was a total ripoff. They must assume everyone flying in there is filthy rich. I would have been happy to tie my own ropes for no charge. I recommend staying away from this airport. Perhaps that is what they want. BTW, I see there is a grass strip on Shelter Island that you may be able to use for free.

Went to Sound Aviation to visit a client in town. Line person was quick to set chocks, and helpful. Five dollar landing fee collected by the town. For my ten-dollar ramp fee to Sound, I received directions, clean restrooms, and use of a late model SUV for transportation, vehicle fuel included. I was not required to buy fuel. But would have if I needed some. I’m frugal, but considering East Hampton prices, Sound earned my ten bucks.

Sound Aircraft Services is price gouging the little guy, as usual: $40.00 for overnight parking of a C-150 (+$5.00 landing fee), not to mention $27.00 taxi ride into Sag harbor for two...

Expect to pay $25 (landing + ramp fees), regardless of fuel purchase. The line guys are friendly -- more so than the airport management or office staff. Cab service to town is $9/adult.

Used the FBO 5 times in the past 4 months. The second time I ever landed in HTO, I was short of a headset for a sightseeing tour with some friends and they very kindly gave me one for a couple hours (I did not even use their services that day!). $20 is basically the minimum to park and use their facilities, but I have had a couple of occasions where I only needed to check weather before taking off again after picking up some friends and only ended up paying the $5 landing fee (collected by the Airport management NOT Sound Aircraft!).

Extremely friendly and cooperative staff. I recently had an experience where I was locked out of my aircraft due to a broken lock. One of their line personnel was able to crawl into the cockpit via the baggage compartment and open the door. I avoided a costly expense. Thank you. On another note, I flew in for a dinner and expected to get a cab from the airport to town. Cabs are hard to come by and do not respond. DO NOT EXPECT ANY DECENT CAB SERVICE AT HTO.
