Attitude Aviation

Located at the Lawrence County Airport in Chesapeake, Ohio.
A very social airport atmosphere with many pilots of both sexes. We have many couples who are both pilots and many students. We offer a free ground school at least a couple of times each year. A very active Pilots Association, which oversees much of the airport operation and Maintenance.

Nice airport, best fuel prices in the area. Don't be in a rush, though! The 100LL pump is finicky & cavitates every few minutes, requiring about two minutes to reset. It took me 15 minutes to pump less than 50 gallons....

Stopped in on weekday, normal business hours. Price was as advertised, and people were friendly and helpful. Pump is slow, so allow for 20min delay in planning in case someone is there ahead of you. FBO office has bathroom and sitting area and basic supplies. Use caution at night for obstructions in general area, and plan for engine out options as there are trees at one end of runway and a highway at other. Good folks. Overall I was pleased with this fuel stop, and have been back. Highly recommended if day/VFR wx and you have at least 30 min land to take-off time available.

Flew in before Thanksgiving. Called first, was informed nobody would be there after dark but I could tie the plane down at no charge, which was nice. Was also informed there was self-serve gas but that it would be locked, which slightly confused me, but that could be misinformation. Didn't see any FOD that AirNav mentions. Don't try to fly in at night unless you're extremely familiar with the area. The beacon was INOP that night, and so were 2/3 of the runway and taxiway lights. There isn't a PAPI/VASI to help you either. Not a bad little airport though.
