Price of fuel as reported by the FBO doesn't include 7% Indiana sales tax. Although Hulman Field is a great airport to fly into, you can save money buying fuel at smaller airports nearby.
Response from Sami Fisher, Customer Service Supervisor, Terre Haute Air Center With the rise in fuel prices, I know everyone is feeling the crunch. However, the Terre Haute Air Center strives to remain a low cost FBO with high quality service. It has been brought to our attention that our customers would like to see our fuel price posted with the Indiana State sales tax included. The Terre Haute Air Center is now posting all fuel prices with the 7% sales tax included for your convenience. We appreciate your business and hope to see you soon!

Airport is very nice and clean. I flew in a few weeks ago and got great service. The place could use some cleaning and better supplies for transient pilots. I was very disappointed to find out there was no coffee service, a perk other airports in the area have. For early fliers, I'd suggest going to another airport for your pick me up. Good service, nice to see young fliers.

I've used Terre Haute Air Center as a fuel stop several times recently for late night long cross country trips. It's unusual to find a 24 hour, full service, yet low priced FBO like these guys. At other stops, I either need to go to a small, self service field (not fun in the winter), or pay very high fuel prices for the 24 hour service. These guys give me the best of both worlds!

Price has been advertised as $3.59/gallon.... But this does not include the 6% sales tax, which raises the fuel price to $3.806/gallon.

As usual, our fuel stop at HUF was handled with professionalism and haste. These guys are always happy to do their job quickly and also do everything they can to take care of the customer. Refreshing after dealing with other FBO's that are complacent, lazy, and slow. Keep up the great work! Also, the hamburgers, hot dogs, and pork sandwiches were awesome!

Stopped in to HUF on my way to Steamboat Springs on August 5th. Line staff was very helpful; they met us at the ramp with a smile. Told us about the restaurant, went inside and enjoyed a nice fruit plate. I would stop here again.

I stopped into the Terre Haute air center on Thursday, August 9. Two friendly line technicians who promptly filled my fuel order greeted me. Upon receiving the bill for my fuel from the very helpful girl at the front desk, I was astonished to see that the prices had recently been drastically lowered. If you're planning on being in the area and need fuel, the Terre Haute Air Center is the place to go.

The staff at the service desk was very helpful to us upon our unannounced 10pm arrival. Used the Impala courtesy car to find a hotel in town, then returned the next morning to rent from the Avis desk in the same building. Weather computers are available from the flight school desks around the corner from the service desk. The fuel price is steep, but I appreciated the helpful service.

Stopped in on 10-17-06 to get enough 100LL to get home, based on the AirNav price of $3.85 updated on 9-26-06. Figured that if anything it might be even lower. Paid $4.1765 all taxes paid. Oops.

6-2-06 I topped off with 28.4 gals of 100LL at a cost of $129.15...So the fuel is NOT $4.29 as they advertised. With all taxes it was $4.55/gallon. And I did NOT get a $4/gallon price for top off as shown in the AirNav remarks. Service was good and the folks are friendly.

We had to divert to Terre Haute due to weather, landing after dark on Dec. 30. The Air Center staff (line guy and a receptionist) was very helpful. The rental car agency on the field was closed, so they loaned us an Impala for the night and directed us to the motels off the freeway. Also, the tower folks were great.

This is a great FBO. I stopped there with two Army helicopters and eight crewmembers on the 21st of December. They were very friendly and helpful. While we were tying our machines down, they arranged for hotel rooms at a very good hotel. They gave us a new Impala to use overnight and it was eaisly the nicest courtesy car that I have ever used. My favorite thing about this FBO is the fact that it is part of a university flight training program and the place is alive with "aviation". Seeing young pilots who are excited about flying was nice. Sometimes we need to be reminded how cool it is that we are paid to do something that is so much fun....
