Stopped for fuel and called the number. A nice guy came out promptly and was very helpful. Offered the courtesy car if I wanted to go into town.

I didn't have the same bad experiences as the other 2 people mentioned here. I too came in on a 100F degree Saturday. I was able to get a hold of someone to come out and get fuel put in, though the FBO was locked up we were able to get in the nice terminal building where it was nice and cool and take a nap. The only problem I did see is that there isn't a phone in the terminal building. Cell phone coverage wasn't that great either. Even though I didn't have a bad experience, this airport wouldn't be my first choice to land at.

Stopped for fuel on a HOT! 100F Saturday afternoon. Nobody around. Ditto on the experience with the phone numbers. Don't stop here. Luckily I had enough fuel to get to Chanook 19 miles due east, where we found fuel and hospitality! (Da-40 BC Trip)

Avoid Havre as a fuel stop. We arrived there during the middle of the afternoon on a Saturday, needing fuel. There was no one anywhere on the airport. Everything was locked up. There were 2 phone numbers on the Havre Flying Service door, to call for fuel, but there was no pay phone anywhere. The terminal building was all locked up - unlike most airports, it wasn't even possible to get inside the entry-way to escape the winter elements, use a restroom or make a phone call. So, in summary, if you land there you won't get fuel, you can't find a phone, you'll freeze outside and there is no restroom. What a sorry excuse for an airport. Oh, by the way, when we got to another airport that does have a phone, calling the 2 numbers on the FBO door resulted in just getting answering machines!!! What good does it do to tell the machine that you're freezing, need a restroom and need fuel? Land ANYWHERE other than Havre.
