Shaune at Blue Skies Aviation is way above bar and fantastic! On a Saturday evening, I was checking airports for my planned trip on a Sunday. After reading AirNav.Com member’s comments about Blue Skies Aviation I sent an email asking if there is any chance for a dynamic prop on our Saratoga on Sunday. Can you believe that Shaune called me Saturday night saying "No problem!” He met me on Sunday and took care of everything on my schedule, all at his regular rate, which is a respectable price. Can you believe it!?! The job was done right, on my schedule when possible, our Saratoga runs more smoothly now with less vibration (and a happier crankshaft I'm sure), and at a fair price ...It would be nice if all shops were like Shaune and Blue Skies! Just had my prop balanced at Blue Skies and what a difference it made. Cabin noise was reduced by half and you could actually talk inside the cabin with out yelling. Very fast service.

Recently we needed an annual on our Cherokee 140. While in shop Shaune discussed with me the issue of prop balance. After running a test with their new and modern equipment the prop was found to be out of balance, Shaune was able to bring it into specification and below, nearly 0, the results is like flying a new aircraft. Very minimal vibration along with far less cabin noise along with a slight increase in rpm on takeoff and cruise. Well worth the cost and could perhaps prevent damage to the engine. I've flown this aircraft over 14 years and the change was amazing. Blue Skies Aviation runs a professional quality shop.

I recently took my C-172 to Shaune at Blue Skies for an oil change and prop balance. I had installed an overhauled engine and had about 100 hrs on the rebuild. Shaune did a great job on the balance and the engine is now running smoother than ever. Work was done at the promised time and for the promised price. Refreshing to find a clean well-managed shop.

Had maintenance problems on April 17, 2008 with a Startduster Too flying from MS to Ca. Shaune and his two technicians are the best. He has the highest standards in the aviation industry. If you want it done right and safe, this is the shop to go to. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP!!!!

I would like to comment about Blue Skies and the work that they do. Mr. Maycock install my Atlantic Aero STC io-550P on my 210 and did an outstanding job. I have 115 hours on the new engine and no problems. He does all of my maintenance on my 210 and does great job. Well connected at the airport and gets things done fast. He now has 2 big hangars on the field. Go by and see him.

I was stuck in San Marcos on a Sunday when no other maintenance facility was open with a broken nose strut and this guy is on call and came in and fixed my strut so we were back in the air in 3 hours and he didn't charge and arm and a leg. New Business, Wish this guy luck and Thanks for your outstanding service!
