This is a first class operation. Everyone from my instructor, Chris Pesnell, to the chief pilot, Raymond de Haan, is there to help you learn. They make sure that you become a safe and competent pilot while having a lot of fun along the way.

Aviation Adventures is a FIRST CLASS operation - great planes, great people, and great instruction. I have used Av Ad to restart my flying experiences after being away from flying for 10 years. I needed to learn GPS, ADIZ/SFRA, get back to instrument current, etc, and I also got another rating along the way. The instruction was fantastic, and the quality of the airplanes is top notch. There are some many details that set Av Ad apart - I would definitely recommend Av Ad for any of your rental or instructional needs!

Aviation Adventures is a great organization to work with - friendly professional staff, high quality student pilot tuition, fantastic attention to safety, a super record of 'first time' passes for new pilots and a wide range of planes to fly - the complete offering makes learning to fly with Aviation Adventures a truly fun experience... One I would highly recommend to anyone. When you earn your private pilot certificate the Aviation Adventures experience is one you will want to continue as you move on to get your instrument rating. Aviation Adventures is 'first class' in the arena of pilot training. The two flight instructors Chris Pesnell and Raymond de Haan are very talented in their ability to teach you to be a great pilot - they are both 'highly recommended’!

I have moved around a lot, and tried many different flight schools and instructors. Aviation Adventures has been, by far, the best of all. All the way from my first adventure flight, being an amazing experience, to now flying frequently in many different aircraft of the large fleet they have. The instructors there are nothing but supportive. They are always fun to fly and learn with. Both of the instructors that I fly with, Chris Pesnell, and Raymond de Haan, are amazing teachers and pilots. Aviation Adventures will always be my first choice when it comes to renting planes as well as taking flying lessons.

After a fair amount of research, I decided to go with Aviation Adventures to receive air and ground training for my private license. I could not have made a better choice. Not only do they have a large, well-equipped fleet of aircraft, but also the entire staff was helpful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic for their students. My instructor, Chris Pesnell, was fantastic. Their goal is to make safe, confident pilots. I gained more knowledge than pilots I've met from other schools, and passed my practical on my first try. I recommend Aviation Adventures without hesitation!

Watch your wallet here. I recently received a checkout in their 182T. At the time the rate was $185 per hour. I followed that up with a trip to KGKT...Upon arrival back at Leesburg, I was told the rate had gone up to $195 per hour which I was charged for! Also, if it wasn't expensive enough, they only reimburse away fuel purchases at $5.00 per gallon when they are paying (at that time) $5.85 per gallon at Leesburg. That alone adds roughly $11 per hour on top of the $195 per hour bringing the plane to $206 per hour. Don't forget the outrageous minimums in place for extended trips. I recently went in to check on another planned trip, which would have been during the week just to see what could be worked out. No waived minimums for that trip. That trip would of cost me around $2575!!!! I have since found a MUCH better deal with another 182, well equipped, and it will only cost me $650 for the same trip. BEWARE!!!

I had not flown in 10 years when I walked into Aviation Adventures flight office. Sean and Ray not only got me up to speed in short order with ground school and simulator training, but were able to get me through an interview and sim check ride that got me another job in aviation. Thank you very much.
