Best FBO I have had opportunity to deal with. Desk personnel are extremely pleasant and helpful. Line service was especially excellent in servicing my new Mooney. Although I only asked to have it hangared one day to keep it sheltered from storms, it was kept in the hangar an extra day at no added expense. Great FBO!

Customer service is non-existent. I called on a Saturday morning 3 hours after they opened to make some arrangements for a crew coming in. The phone number they have listed went straight to a recording stating "to reach operations call" the same number I had just dialed. Tried dialing 0 which went to someone but she had no idea what to do and offered little assistance. I'd say very poor service but service isn't even available!

On Aug 6, 2007 I was stranded by a broken starter on my Cherokee. Mike Warren, maintenance director, was a great help. He put a mechanic to work on my plane right away. Unfortunately at 4 pm we discovered that parts would be needed. They got parts overnighted and I was on my way the next day. In the meantime I got an inexpensive rental car from them. I will definitely return when my travels take me to the Washington, DC area. I could not be more pleased with the help they gave me. You'd thought I was flying a Gulfstream! Clark Jernigan

...The point is that we were not made to feel like valued customers. It was not a customer friendly place.

Have been going into Leesburg for many years and am repeatedly frustrated. The change in facilities and operators has made the situation worse. Lots of flippant promises about carrying out requests and about a 50% chance that any of it will happen. At least Piedmont would plug in a Tanis when requested. If you want an on-time start with an engine that is ready and tanks that filled, go somewhere else or plan on spending extra time at the airport. I get better and more dependable service at many other locations at a fraction of the cost. Then there's AFSS and ARTCC.........

Landmark is fabulous. Parked us up front, efficient attention. They booked us hotel rooms and a car. Friendly! Best place to stop in the DC/VA area.

Recently flew into Leesburg. Landmark people were friendly, efficient and helpful. The weekend fuel discount was a nice surprise and their avionics folks got my transponder repaired very promptly. Full marks for this FBO!

25-cent discount for fuel on the week-ends - great service from Landmark - they were able to get me a car from Enterprise

Stopped here for the first time ever despite keeping my plane 20 min away at FDK. Very nice experience and very attentive line help. A great stop to make.

Was considering a trip to JYO to visit the DC area again, and forgot that I posted. I also hadn't seen Mathew's post in reply to mine. Spoonfed, hardly. I've worked at an FBO the past 5 years while buiding time and attending college. These are simply the courtesies that I extend to my customers. I treat them well because I want them to return. Considering that Piedmont is no longer there it really doesn't matter now, but I don't like being insulted about being "spoon fed" when simply posting what occured on a trip. Landmark will surely get my business. I like Leesburg's relative ease of access in the ADIZ.

Stayed one night, staff friendly and very professional, top notch terminal and briefing room, they even got my Hertz car mess sorted out in record time. Worth the high fuel price if you're not a gas guzzler.

Landed into JYO from BED. I was late for a meeting so I called in advance to get Enterprise car ready. They told me Enterprise was having trouble getting cars to them lately so I asked for a cab to be waiting for me. Upon arrival they had the cab waiting, they let me ran off to my meeting without bothering with the credit card formalities. Excellent ! Great facilities, ride to Herndon was about a 20 minutes. Very recommendable, for downtown Washington.

I can't speak directly about Piedmont Hawthorne as an FBO, but I sure can regarding their sales and service - it is spectacular! I purchased a new Bonanza from them and in all honesty the experience could not have been a better one from the very first phone call I made. I give them all-around outstanding remarks in all respects down to every minute detail. Every minor issue or question is answered immediately and explained thoroughly. Even regular oil changes are treated with a high priority and professionalism. The friendly help and support is just the icing on the cake. Mike Hogan - thanks for making a great experience absolutely phenomenal!!! Your reputation is very well deserved!
