Be careful if you plan to leave or depart early or late. I planned to leave early at 7AM to beat the heat and called the number for after hour’s service for fuel posted on the door. I was told in an unfriendly manner, "Can't you read the sign that says hours of operation 8-5"? Very limited hours for summer operation when sun rises at 6 and sets at 9 I said thanks a lot and flew to SGU, fueled up and pressed on. They have a self-serve pump that is not self serve, No truck. Fuel price was $.35 higher than advertised on AirNav from a week earlier while most FBO prices have dropped that amount in the last few weeks. Totally unimpressed

Good place to stop. No traffic and a long well maintained runway. Gentleman fueled our plane and offered a car. Very clean FBO.

I can honestly say that we've always received great service and a friendly smile from Dick Brewer at Kanab. I have flown numerous charters into Kanab and never had a problem. We always try to buy fuel there, subject to our aircraft takeoff limitations. If we have time, we can use the crew car to get a meal at Nedra's or somewhere else in town, which is a fun place to hang around in. Again, kudos to you Dick. Keep up the good work and don't let chronic complainers get to you.

I always stop at KNB on cross-country trips. They have the lowest fuel prices in the area. The staff is helpful and friendly. There is a courtesy car for lunch in town. Stay overnight, the area is gorgeous and there is a nice little golf course that the whole family can play.

Apparently there was a different manager at KNB on 4/22/06. When I was there the manager said, "I'll bet you $100 that you don't get a better deal (on fuel purchases) at your home base", not even knowing where my home base is. After I informed him that my plane runs on mogas he replied, "Well if you put that #%@& in it". Then he damaged my plane while fueling (when my back was turned), compromising the safety of the subsequent flight. PILOTS BEWARE, carefully observe this guy around your aircraft at all times and thoroughly preflight your plane if you dare let him touch it.

Great place to stop. I came in late and there is a warm room, phone and computer. I was there once before and needed premium auto gas for a motor glider and they lent me a car to get it. The manager could not have been nicer each time.

October 27, 2005 was my first and last time at the city of Kanab airport. Upon arrival the Airport Manager, Dick Brewer, became very belligerent when I did not purchase full fuel. He stated, "you guys come in here and don't fill your tanks, fly off and run out of gas and crash and die, it's a 182, it holds 80 gallons." Approximately one hour after departure we noticed a venting problem with the right tank. The copilot commented that the fueler at Kanab, Brewer, may have tampered with the cap. Upon our arrival at Scottsdale we examined both fuel caps and noticed that Brewer had stretched the rubber O-ring on the right tank then closed the cap on top of it causing a breach in the seal. Blue stains from the cap to the trailing edge evidenced leaking 100LL avgas. Brewer's criminal act is now being investigated by the FBI and the Kane County Sheriff's Dept. I'm asking that anybody with any applicable information regarding this individual please contact me at steve@sfwardcpa.com.

Great folks. Nice small town airport. Signs say fuel avail Mon thru Fri, 8am to 5pm only but on two recent weekend stops (7/31/05) I had no trouble getting fuel. Still not a bad idea to call if planning a weekend fuel stop.
