Flew into LEX in a Cessna 172 Skyhawk for a brief local meeting. Was treated like I arrived in a $20 million bizjet. Will stop often!

I have been lamenting the loss of Air 51. When the economy was hot and wild TAC Air had got to the point they really did not go out of their way to look after piston singles. I would have to indicate that clearly they are open for business with piston singles and our quick turn in a piper single Comanche, was treated very well on all points. From ramp to customer service all was very well looked after. Thanks and will be back.

Flew into Lexington for a double overnight in our 182. Staff at TAC Air was fantastic! No ramp or overnight fees even tho I made a modest fuel purchase. Great facility and great service!

TAC Air has acquired AIR 51 - they are now the only FBO on the field.

I called the phone number for Air-51. The phone was answered "TAC Air." I said I thought I was calling Air-51 and the woman said, "They went out of business." As TAC Air is now the only FBO at Bluegrass Field, Thursday I went there twice, once to pick up and later to drop off a friend in a Cherokee. I didn't buy anything and they didn't charge me anything. The people I saw at TAC Air seemed friendly. Had free cookies. I have no complaints. This is beyond TAC Air's control, but beware of this. Periodically there is a NOTAM about runway 4/22 being closed. This airport had three runways, but due to lots of grant money it now only has one runway. If the runway is closed it means the airport is closed except to helicopters. This NOTAM mixes local time and UTC. I found this most confusing. Had I not called the phone number in the NOTAM (859) 425-3112, I would have been in a real mess.

Had a trip to LEX today in Citation 501 to drop 2 pax. Called TAC Air and asked about fees and fuel price. Was advised of $175 ramp fee just to drop off pax. I went Air 51 and there was no fee and also got fuel discount with AIRBOSS card. Fly safe.

Weather caused me to divert to KLEX and TAC Air yesterday. I was offered the use of a car for lunch and waited out the weather in their great facility. Upon leaving I asked what I owed and they cheerfully announced 'No charge, fly safe and come back soon.' I will.

We flew into TAC this weekend to watch the ponies run at Keeneland. The folks at TAC were more than gracious taking us to and picking us up from the track. Even though there was a lot of kerosene traffic, our 180 was treated with respect.

I just returned from a three-night stay in Lexington. Even though I flew a Cessna 172, the folks at TAC Air treated me no different than the "bigger boys"...Excellent! The staff is top notch and the facilities are comfortable. Waiting for ceiling to lift was a pleasant experience this morning as I enjoyed lounging in the very comfortable chairs in the pilot's lounge, channel and web surfing (they have WiFi of course). I will return to TAC Air at LEX without a doubt.

Great FBO. Stopped here for the night en route to KAUS from the Boston area. They were very pleasant, friendly, and helpful with all that I needed. A recommended stop if you are passing through this area.

Oct. 3rd and Oct. 6th stopped on our trip to AOPA's Expo. What a great place to enter the NE corridor from we had great routing from (LEX) to Hartford and it was very easy to get to (LEX) on the return. If you are flying something that needs fuel to make it from or to the NE then stop here what a great find. The turns where done in under 30 mins. And I didn't ask for that. WOW All Must Stop and Use LEX

Stopped at LEX for a quick turn refuel on the way back from Steamboat. The staff was friendly, and the service was quick. Told the line person that I needed fuel, walked into the FBO got a briefing and when I went to the front desk the plane was ready to go. Got in and out in less than 30 minutes. I look forward to visiting LEX again. Great service with a fairly quick turn.

Arrived in my Bonanza with vacuum failure. Tac recommended Spectrum next door and these guys were the GREATEST! Ordered parts same day - delivered next morning and had me ready to go 3 HOURS EARLIER THAN PROMISED!! Wow! Folks at Tac arranged rental car and excellent hotel (Hilton Suites) at their discounted rates. NEVER BETTER SERVICE! Will definitely make it a point to stop here in the future traveling SW from Latrobe, PA!!

We were recently at LEX for aviation repairs and after the repairs were put on the ramp until the weather permitted us to pick up our plane. We own a twin and were charged $20 per day in ramp fees. When we questioned the staff, and later the manager, they said it was always their policy to charge a ramp fee. We have been to LEX many times and never been charged before. It was obvious the manager was not interested in helping us. This was our first bad experience. BEWARE.

Outstanding service. Best FBO experience of my life! We called in range and asked for a cab. There was one when we got there. When we returned we asked if they had a rental car we could get. They said it was a slow day and offered me a crew car. I told them I'd be gone 6 hrs or so and they said no problem, and don't bother filing it up with gas, we take care of that. Oh, and "have a cookie." No ramp fee either. If there are FBOs in heaven, they look like this.
