I chose this FBO b/c they offer Phillips 66 also b/c they waive the overnight fee with purchase of fuel, unlike KSNA. I called ahead of time to file a reservation for Christmas Eve. The guy I spoke to on the phone stated that someone would be there to marshal me in, fuel my aircraft, and give me the gate code to get back in on Christmas day since the FBO would be closed on the holiday. However, when I arrived, nobody was there to marshal us in or fuel us. We chose a spot, but there were no tie downs. After still not being greeted by anybody, we found unused chocks, found the entrance, and waited at the desk for 10 minutes before leaving. The entire time I was there I did not see anybody that worked there. Thankfully I had my AOA badge from my base airport in AZ, because without a gate code, I had to ask another pilot for access to the ramp. This is the worst FBO I have ever visited, I do not recommend them, and I feel that they are a major security risk to KLGB.

Best price on Jet A at LGB, but you get what you pay for. The fuel guy didn't understand Prist, told me it was pre-mixed and when I looked at the truck it clearly was not and the injector was Off. My tanks were half full by then and when I asked he wouldn't let me turn the Prist injector on the truck on because he simply didn't know what was going on. When we came out to leave a few hours later we saw the guys draining fuel into buckets from a King Air and dumping it straight back into the top of the fuel truck. Won't be stopping there again despite the low price.

Stayed for 4 nights and bought 20 gals of 100LL at about $4.50/gal, so it only cost $20 plus gas for the 4-night stay. The FBO has their own fuel pump. Had to carry all my bags. The FBO looked as if it could use a good cleaning, but the girls at the counter were helpful and courteous. I will probably stay there for my next visit.
