I wish I could say something nice. But, I cannot. I ended up in Long Beach due to an in-flight emergency. When I landed, ground directed me to Ross Aviation, based on their opinion that they'd be able to help us with our issue. When we arrived, the girl at the desk didn't even ask if we were okay or inquire how she could help. I asked a few questions, and she clearly had no ideas or answers. She either didn't understand that we landed in an urgent situation, or didn't care. The fire trucks should have been a clue, if she looked out the window. I'm sure my experience isn't a normal one, but I can certainly say that my impression is the staff has no idea what they're doing.

Response from Greg McQueary, General Manager, Ross Aviation
Thank you for sharing your experience with me. I, personally, opened an internal investigation, as this is not our standard of customer service we pride ourselves. From what I found, we were able to use this as an opportunity for improvement by opening up communication with our airport emergency responders and asking them to notify us if they send an aircraft to our facility that came in under duress. I'm sorry your experience didn't meet your expectations of our service, particularly under such circumstances. On behalf of everyone at Ross Aviation LGB, please know that your situation was an exception. Thanks for taking the time to bring this to our attention. We will use your feedback as an opportunity for improvement and to ensure this doesn't happen again.

Absolutely great service. Car was driven to my little old GA prop plane. Treated like a VIP. Other FBO didn't want props, only jets. Ross stepped up with a reasonable overnight fee, and great service. Very nice facilities.

Great experience at Ross. They treated my passenger and me with courtesy and respect even though we arrived in a Cherokee. Line service was very professional and the desk folks pleasant and cheerful. The parked the plane close by, and not far from a Gulfstream, very affordable at $15 for a ramp fee, definitely a break for us 'smaller' guys. Beautiful lobby with refreshments and electronic amenities. Glad we went there and would recommend them without hesitation.

GREAT FBO experience. Open 24hrs, no after hourís charges and the late night lineguy was awesome! Best part, they take CAA! Will be happy to come back and use ROSS. Many thanks!

I recently parked overnight at Ross in my Mooney. Literally red carpet service on par with the previous tenant, AirFlite. I recognized some of the same employees, as well. Contrary to an earlier post, I was only charged $15/night parking and the ramp fee was waived with my 32 gal purchase.

When our CRJ was in need of an engine change we used Ross Aviation. I cannot express how happy we were with their service. We were treated with the most professional service I have ever dealt with. They availed us to their ramp and hangar in a very expeditious manner. We found the personnel to be most courteous and accommodating. Once again thank you to all of the People at Ross Aviation Richard Reid Mesa Airlines PHX Line Lead.

WARNING: All the reviews dated before this one are for AirFlite. Ross recently bought this FBO and drastically changed the fee structure! AirFlite was $15 fee for ramp including first night waived with the purchase of 15 gallons or reasonably priced fuel. Ross now charges $30 for the ramp waived with the purchase of 50 FIFTY) gallons of expensive fuel. PLUS $30 per night! Guess they don't want "little guys" around. Check around. There are better deals at Long Beach. PS: Nice building. Nice workers.
