Flew into KLRU due to t-storms. Called ahead and Doug at Adventure was great at giving me an outlook on the weather. As always it is a pleasure to do business with Adventure Aviation. C-172

Stopped here overnight on a ferry flight from CA to VA. Great facilities - nice restaurant on the field. They coordinated a great rental car with Enterprise with zero notice. Enterprise folks were equally professional. Recommend this stop. Long, wide, multiple runways to deal with the high desert winds is a great plus and they are all in great shape. Home of the Rocket Racing League - who knew?

As always service was above and beyond! Bea did a wonderful job preparing first class catering for 20 passengers with short notice. Thanks for the wonderful service.

Great FBO- My brother and I flew in here a few months ago on our way out west. We arrived really late at night and slept a few hours in the crew lounge. The room was nice and comfortable. Breakfast in the restaurant was great. The pancakes were amazing. The manager was really friendly; we even got a quick shower before we hit the sky. : )

PRICES ARE NOT GUARANTEED!! Stopped here in our King Air for a quick turn and bought over 300 gallons. The price we paid was actually more than the posted price, and we were supposed to get 15 cents less than posted for buying over 250 gallons. Called manager to complain, but goes to voice mail, and still have not received a call back. Check your receipt carefully before you leave if you stop here. On the positive side, we requested a quick turn and the line crew was great.

Adventure provided great service for our stop on the way to Mexico. They are in a much more convenient location than the other FBO. Also..Had a great stay at a B&B in nearby Mesilla..Just two rooms, one a full sized casita..And a great historic village. (Dreamcatcher was full and recommended her.)

I stopped on a long x/c from Austin to San Diego and had to end up leaving the plane for 5 days due to a prior work commitment. I met Doug Newton (Manager) on Monday evening. He graciously offered me a ride into town to the Hampton Inn (and Adventure has a great rate) and also picked me up the next morning to take me back to the airport. The winds were too high (30G40) and I had a small mechanical problem so Doug setup transport from KLRU to El Paso for me to catch a commercial flight. Doug did not charge me a penny to keep my plane tied down for 5 nights, his staff are wonderful and will do everything they can to make your time there as trouble free as possible. On the morning I left the wind was really blowing hard and the line crew came out to help me put the cover on my plane and it was extremely cold! I would recommend Las Cruces to anyone, but more importantly, I would recommend Adventure Aviation. They are down home great people who are truly in love with Aviation.

Stopped in low on fuel after I was unable to get any in Alamogordo's ghost town airport...Las Cruces was an oasis with friendly personnel, quick fuel service and a restaurant. What more can you ask for on a long trip across the desert. Nice runways too and a flight planning computer with wx radar. Clean restrooms. What a concept! So, if you're traveling in NM, go to Las Cruces and don't stop at places like Alamogordo.

I went to KLRU on 4-24-07 to attend government training. Adventure Aviation was a great host and great food at the grill. On 4-25-07 I flew into KLRU to continue the training and was met immediately by a lineman, topped off, and tied down. Great Service -------- See You Again Soon

Came to LRU for part of a vacation. It was one of those great aviation experiences. Staff went out of their way to be friendly. Ate lunch at the restaurant. After battling a 40kt headwind from St. Louis, the excellent cheeseburger, Mexican food and beer saved the day. Nothing fancy about the facilities but Adventure has great character. Also highly recommend the Dreamcatcher Bed and Breakfast.

This was our first visit to KLRU and Adventure Aviation. They had our rental car ready when we arrived and our plane was fueled and ready to go upon departure. Everything was seamless and what you would hope for from an FBO. A+ Recommend!

Second visit to Adventure Aviation, one year apart. Big challenge with rental cars. Last year rental car girl left before we got there and line kid didn't know how to fill out paperwork. This year Enterprise delivered the car as promised but Adventure gave it to someone else. Line kid called Frontier Car Rentals, a local company with cheaper rates owned by a former pilot. Fuel price was less than advertised ($3.99 vs. $4.12 or so). Line crew is OK but rest of staff seems uninformed. When I told manager about our rental car challenges with his firm he blamed it all on the rental car companies. The tie downs are chains with no hooks, use them like rope.

Landed at LRU on New Year's Eve for fuel and lunch, visiting Adventure Aviation. Staff was all very friendly and helpful. They quickly helped tie down my plane and topped off the tanks while we went inside to the cafe where I had some of the best enchiladas I've eaten in a long time. Great service, great food at a reasonable price. I plan on Adventure Aviation being a regular stop when out this way. I highly recommend them.

Had a great time at Adventure Aviation. JoJo, Doug and Clint made us feel right at home during our delay at LRU. Great place for a quick turn also. And they have a great food at reasonable prices 24 hours a day. Thanks

Our rental car was waiting when we arrived. Courteous and attentive line staff. We had a great sandwich at the restaurant and bought some cheap jet fuel. I'll be back!

No rental cars available: they don't do Hertz anymore (apparently had problems with Hertz). We booked a "reward" night with the Comfort Inn & Suites -- who would not provide transportation to the hotel. One hotel employee didn't know Las Cruces HAD an airport. Adventure line guy called us a cab.

Visited in March of 2006, and again in June of 2006. Attempted to schedule a BFR in March, and for some reason it didn't work out. Called prior to the June trip, and scheduled a C-172 for a checkout and then some solo flying. After a telephone call to schedule, and an e-mail to confirm, arrived to find that I wasn't on the schedule. Not sure if the area has enough economic activity to support rental aircraft. Left LRU a few days early, and plan on basing out of ABQ.

Use Adventure for early fuel and lunch stop. The service at Adventure was very fast and friendly. Good stop and the Grill has a good burger and great Mexican breakfast.

These guys were GREAT! Met me at my Mooney and treated my father and I like we were flying a new Citation X. They have a great grill and even had cold beer available after my long day of flying. In addition Doug (owner) even got us a better rate at the local motel and drove us there and brought us back in the morning. He even let me use his personal office to print off approach plates! You will not find a better spot to stop in on a long east/west flight.
