Eight years ago I began flying with Midwest Executive Aircraft. I walked in the door with a handful of hours and when I left I had all of my land airplane ratings except my ATP. I also instructed in MEA's aircraft for several years before moving on to a corporate flying job. MEA was helpful, professional, and courteous during both my training and my time as a CFI at KLXT. They're good people.

Midwest Executive has brokered the sale of three aircraft that I have owned over the years and for anyone considering them in this capacity I would offer that they have always exceeded my expectations. If you want an aircraft to move they are top choice. I have also rented numerous aircraft with MEA and I have never had a negative experience.

Since 1992 I have probably rented all types (and conditions) of aircraft from virtually every FBO in the Kansas City metro area. Lee's Summit airport and its FBO has as good equipment as you will find anywhere, in as good condition or better, and the people are as friendly, communicative, cooperative and professional as at any FBO this 4 state area, if not more so.

I learned to fly at MEA four years ago and found that from the first day of my private training, the owners and CFI's were friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in my success. They have a lot of pilots including myself who book last minute flights and make last minute changes and it has been my experience that they bend over backward to accommodate everyone.

In response to Mr. Simms comment on January 8, 2006, please know that our company hasn't been in business for 25 years by putting the dollar first and customers second. Mr. Simms was asked not to re-confirm his reservation for the checkout but to confirm his reservation because he indicated he was unsure whether or not he would be able to make the appointment because he was visiting from out-of-town and wanted to take his nieces for a ride and didn't know for sure what their schedule was. I'm sorry there must have been a miscommunication but we try to accommodate our customers every chance we can.

Reserved a checkout for their 172 the day before. They asked if I could call to confirm the reservation (I made the reservation in person, in front of the person the day before). I was not able to call to re-confirm the reservation until the day of - needless to say, they didn't call in their pilot because I did not call to confirm (again) the reservation. The man I talked to was extremely condescending and patronizing, like I was causing this horrendous calamity. I reminded him that I was a customer and I was not going to use their services. Like a previous post commented, they no longer appreciate the customer, only the money. I hope I never had to fly into LXT.

Stopped at this FBO in connection with Angel Flight. I found the personnel to be helpful and courteous. Even provided a modest discount for our fuel due to the type of flight and faxed some information free of charge. This is a relatively busy airport with training. I will return. I did not experience what the other comments have stated.
