I called the FBO and they told me that for single engine aircraft there is a $27 handling fee, which is waived with a 7 gallon fuel purchase. I advised them that they may want to respond to the $200 plus handling fee complaints from past customers here on AirNav.

Flew into MCI on a Sunday. Awesome experience! Kristen was very helpful when I called the evening before. Anthony provided pertinent advice--the day of--regarding MCI construction. Adam provided a ride to our destination--with instructions to call for a pickup. Kristen have us a 6% discount. Bottomline: I'm going back.

I have been going to Executive Beechcraft for over 20 years and was recently floored by the ramp fee. My Cheyenne and I were on the ramp for a total of 7 minutes and they charged me $210.00. Talked with Scott Tychson (Signature Manager KC) to tell him I felt robbed and that I didn't think it was fair since we have no other choices when flying into MCI. His comment was that the charge reflected the price of doing business.

What happened to EB? I have been going here for 15+ yrs but not anymore! 200$$ Ramp fee if I didn't buy 100 gal of super high fuel. Ramp guys arrogant and pushy. Only FBO at MCI, this is very sad but I've made my last trip to MCI.

In addition to the comments below, the minimum for our King Air 100 was 120 gallons or $200 ramp fee. They charge like Signature.

Definitely watch out for the fees! I flew two Angel Flight missions to MCI last week. 20 minutes prior to landing I requested the shuttle meet us on the ramp because we had a family with a baby and numerous bags. They assured me that would happen and asked what I was flying, but when we arrived the only thing that met us was the (expensive) fuel truck and a small army of line guys. At least one guy helped us carry everything across the ramp and through the terminal. Gas is very expensive as noted in other comments. On the return flight I wanted to pick the family up quickly and depart, but once again was met immediately with the (expensive) fuel truck. I told them I just needed to pick up the family, but they sternly insisted I must buy gas or pay a ramp fee! Even for a charity mission! I will generally buy fuel when I visit a facility and use any of their services. E.B. Doesn't even have a courtesy car, or a PC! Gotta love a monopoly.

Watch out for the handling fee! Stopped in to drop off a passenger who was catching an airline flight and learned Exec. Beech has a "handling fee" of $60 or 30 gal of fuel. The fuel is priced at $1.00-$1.50 than the lowest operators in the area. I chose the fuel so I would have SOMETHING for my money. But it basically still cost me a $30-$45 premium. At least THREE line guys fueled the plane and cleaned the windshield. (Total staff was like 8 line guys, and 1 plane other than mine on the ramp...Maybe labor costs are part of the reason for the fee?) And they did give my passenger a ride to the airport terminal. Overall, go here if you have to, but keep your hand on your wallet.

We stopped in on Sunday August 26, 2007 to fuel up for our final leg to KCNY. We called ahead 15 minutes out to let them know we needed a quick turn. Upon arrival the fuel truck was pulling up as line service was waving us in. Our 11 passengers got off to stretch their legs and the fueling was already half complete! We finished fueling, reboarded, picked up our clearance, and were taxiing within 15 minutes of arriving at the ramp. This is the exact definition of "quick turn". Great job guys. By the way, prices were comparable and no ramp fees were charged.

I arrived in a C-182 and overnighted one night leaving on March 1, 2007. First, the counter staff and line staff were all pleasant and helpful. However, the management policies of this facility are not acceptable. I was over-charged .10/gal over the "guaranteed" price. I was charged $25 for an overnight after buying 30 gallons of fuel. It snowed in the morning and I asked to be pulled into the hangar for two hours to melt the snow. I was charged $75 for that. When I went to the plane it was covered in red dirt. I sent a letter of complaint. After 30 days I was reimbursed the .10/gal and the $25 overnight (only because of the $75 hangar fee which they kept). They said they were sorry about the dirt but wouldn't pay to wash the plane. This is a monopoly operation and acts like it. There is no other FBO at MCI. I will be spending two weeks in Platte City soon. It is inconvenient but my airplane will spend that time at Fort Leavenworth (KFLV), which is 13 statute miles to the West.
