I flew into MIC on July 18th and pulled up to Northland. The lineman was working on another plane but helped me fuel up as soon as he was done, and he even stayed late while I waited for my ride. But I was disappointed that the self-serve fuel cost me $4.25/gal even though they say (STILL, as of today) a GUARANTEED price of $3.95. When I talked to the owner he said effectively that AirNav doesn't update prices right away, and went on to say that their wholesalers don't even guarantee their delivery prices on the day of delivery. Well, if he can't guarantee the price to HIS customers then he shouldn't advertise as a guaranteed price.

Friendly tower, great fuel price, and John Williams is a knowledgeable, experience mechanic who helped me get my Aztec back up and running. They have hangar space and are good about plowing the runways. Hot coffee and weather were great for warming up.
